Hi Everyone, I have been checking out this site for the last few weeks and I want you all to know your posts have been extremely helpful. My cat Molly is pregnant, we didn't get her spayed fast enough (she will be after this) and here I am

Anyway, I am not 100% sure how far along she is, I originally  thought that she was going to be due somewhere around the 17th of March, but she seems to be farther along than that with signs. So here is where we are with her maybe someone can give me their personal experience. I know every cat is different.

--Her belly is quite large in comparison to her overall size and hard as a rock. She has been showing for about 3 weeks maybe a little more. I knew she was pregnant before she was showing because she became SUPER friendly to me.

--I have been seeing the kittens moving around in there for the last 3 days rather clearly.

--Touching her stomach is out most of the time, she does not like it.

--I gave up on the temperature idea being accurate as she has had a couple times of dropping to 98-99F and went back to normal the next day with no labor.

--I have been keeping her locked in my room and she has been going from nesting to in the window and back to nesting.

--She has been eating like a hog until today, I don't think she ate anything I put down this morning. She sniffed the bowl and drank some but unless she ate while I left the room I am not thinking she ate.

--Last night she was licking her belly a lot. (some hair is gone around her nipples but not like I have seen pics of on here though she has longer belly fur)

--She also was acting a bit nuts last night, just running like a mad man all over the house (I let her out of my room for a few hrs per night for sanity lol)

So does it sound like she is close? My husband is starting to get annoyed with me because I am constantly checking on her and worried that I will miss it and something will go wrong and I won't be there.

I am by far no expert and am not totally sure when my cat will give birth myself (she's a stray I took in already pregnant) but from what I can gather you will usually have 4-5 weeks left from when they start showing and 1-2 weeks left from when you can see kitten movement clearly so from that I'd say you have around a week to go but that said although 9 weeks is average some go earlier and some up to 10 weeks so pretty much any time lol, no help really was I?

Lol. I don't think anyone really knows, what I need is a crystal ball. That would make it sooo much easier!

*nods* Lilith is coming close to what I figure is 10 weeks. I've been able to watch her belly move for over two weeks, now.

My cat is due any day now and she not as active as she was, the movement is more gentle now (prob less room to move like before) she been nesting for long time now and she eating very little amounts often. She so huge she stops on stairs half way for a rest then finishes the mission after few seconds sit down. She follows me everywhere! Because she an ex stray she don't ask for food so I offer regular. It's a long waiting game I've had her 5 week's today so I'm thinking she is due very soon cause vet said she was 5 weeks approx xx

They do keep us guessing I suppose. Every time I think for sure she is going to go in to labor she doesn't.
Then I feel silly because I have said "this is it she's going to have them today!" Oh well I suppose when it's time it will happen. Good luck to all of you waiting too!

Molly dont feel that way..do you know how many times I have thought "ok this is it we will have babies tonight" uh NOT so the next day it happends all over again..lol im taking Silver to the Vet on Thursday if she doesnt have them be4 ofcourse.
You know they will eventually come its just that it will be on their time not ours.

What I do to take the edge off I go to Youtube and watch cats in labor so I see the babies and learn something new..by the time im done ill be an expert..lol

I went through the same thing with a stray that adopted me. Everyone's story is different but maybe this will help.
At 3 weeks I noticed Gracie was pregnant.
At 4 weeks there was no doubt.(showing)
At 5 weeks she began nesting some.
At 6 weeks I seen movement for the first time and she began to eat smaller meals more frequently.
At7 weeks she looked miserable, and I had to get a bigger litter box for her.
At 8 weeks she had days that she would go hours without eating only sleeping.
At exactly 9 weeks she gave birth to 7 healthy kittens.

Yep I've said several times 'this must be it' but like you I'm still waiting, however I am now expecting them soon due to a drop in temp yesterday and the beginning of milk in her nipples. I've also watched so many you tube vids so that I know exactly what to expect, glad I did as the sight of a cat panting like a dog might have had thinking something was wrong, fingers crossed these kitties don't keep us all waiting too much longer

She is still eating and drinking well today. She's been in her box for the last hour and did some belly liking earlier. No real change anywhere else. Just waiting....

Well she ended up throwing up some food last night, that was a first. She did go right back to eating afterwards. Not sure if it's a sign or not I have read it can be. Today she is spazzy, and she came and got me a few times which is kind of out of the ordinary. I just put her back in my room for awhile to get some piece from the other animals. Still just waiting for some more signs...about to go hang out with her for a little while to watch her breathe lol. Getting good at that! Congrats to those of you who have had your babies, I hope they are all doing well!

Daisy started throwing up about 5 days ago and I did wonder if it was a sign or labour but when I continued I phoned vet for advice and they suggested putting out less food at a time so she wasn't eating more than her squashed stomach could take and that seems to solve it, just means I need to feed her more often rather than having food available 24/7 as I was

Haha, so wish you wouldn't have told me that. I was overly hopeful it was a sign of impending labor
I just caught her laying on my bed, looked like she was breathing a little harder so I snuck in for a closer peek and like normal she just jumped up and went to eat. I am pretty sure she thinks each time I enter the room she needs to eat...she has been doing that for over a week.
