They can behave like in heat while in pregnancy.  They can even BE in heat, as it happens they do have two different litters simultaneously, typically about three weeks apart.  Both healthy.

That said, they can have false pregnancies too... They can also absorb the foetuses already there.

Do you feel the foetuses?  Even feel the kittens move?

If she begins to have milk, she should be quite late, you should be able not only feel the kittens move, but even see them move...

Continue to report and ask!

Good luck!

If you dont see or feel any movements, you can perhaps palpate if you feel the foetuses?   Not easy to if you arent somewhat experienced, nor easy for me to try and describe, I lack simply words, english being my third language.

But almost anyone decently experienced, cat or dog person, can surely help you.

Or, take two flyies in one stroke, visit  a vet and ask him to make a check up...

If she hasnt no  palpatable foetuses, she isnt pregnant at this moment, as her pregnany is supposed to be more than midways, probably at its end.

You can then discuss an immediate spaying, as soon the heat is over.  (a experienced vet is perhaps willing to do the spaying even in heat, you must ask - and decide).

Any ways, dont let her out, dont risk any other pregnancy nor other complications.

While in heat and outside, they have their mind on other things than be watchful for cars and other dangers...

Good luck!

The exact hour is difficult to know...  Many cats use the nest first in the last moments, or even first after delivery.  In the nature, they dont want to get their chosen nest smelly too early.

You can help her and clean her behind.  Or you can even trim the long fur there.

Some links you may perhaps find useful:

We have a good collection of articles in the Cat Health section which you can access by scrolling up to the brown bar, clicking on Articles, and then choosing the Cat Health section and scrolling through the choices.  To make this super easy for you, I am copying the links regarding birth, delivery and newborns for you here.  After reading this information, let us know if you have any more questions.  And good luck with your approaching new arrivals.

Thanks for your reply... I just wanna tell you my cat delivered on the 19th of june that day was a wonderful day for me she delivered 4 cute kittens 2 grey and 2 black and white.... I was so happy that day that was Thursday morning.. Woke up friday yhe 20th and here comes the disaster!!!! I cleaned the kittens bed for the second time and i am trying to help the mother cleans her self while i am trying to do that with a piece of cloth i found a pieace of a tail with blood coming from it!!!!! Thats when i knew their was a kitten stuck in the birth canal... I panicked and starting crying seeking help anywhere but they're was no vets opened around and my cat refuses to eat or drink.. People kept saying pull it out yourself but i was freaked and when i tried my cat scratched and bit me badly.. I remembered when i delivered my first baby whenever i breast feed my baby my uterus contracts so i thought this might help so o got the mother cat to her kittens and when she started lactating conttaction started and half of the kitty came out.. This was a relief i said maybe if i wait the rezt will come out.. Iy was 8 pm and nothing new happend still only half appears i tried to pull it out instead it got elongated and kitten was stretched out.. So at 11 pm i decided to have her contract again and then push so i sent her to her kittens and so contraction starts and then i pull till it came out.. What a sighhhhhh hint: never ever pull a stuck kitty unless the mother kitty is contracting. Another hint: yo get your cat to contract get her to lactate...

Uhh, uhh, what an experience!  People can faint for less!   I agree with you.  If you in a desperate situation must help and draw out a kitten which is stuck (not common but it does happens sometimes) , do it together with moms contractions.   And your second tip is good too, lactacing helps the contractions - its the same hormon organizing it.  If  the vet had open, they would probably at first tried with an injection of oxytocine - which both stimulates milk, AND stimulates contractions....

Well done there,  MadameSir, in this horrible situation!!!

Purrpoint awarded!

I understand this fifths kitten was deadborne, even if he perhaps was alive in the beginning.    But what is now with mom and the four first kittens?  @haidy

I am so glad i shared this info in this site so everyone can make use of this situation.. Thanks for your reply [emoji]128522[/emoji] and your care.. Those who adviced me to pull the stuck kitten never told me to wait till she contracts.. I hope never is placed in similar situation my cat could have died and i will suffer with 4 orphan kittens..
