My Pregnant Himalayan

MY HIMALAYAN WAS BRED ON THE 31ST LAST MONTH SHE IS 24 DAYS ALONG, HER NIPPLES ARE ENLARGED AND VERY RED BUT SHE ONLY HAS SLIGHT SWELLING IN THE BELLY AREA. WHEN SHOULD SHE SHOW MORE

anyone ?

I would say that there are a lot of different factors involved. How many kittens, whether she was overweight, underweight or at an optimal weight before pregnancy, whether she's had kittens before.

It's not an easy question to answer.

Sounds like my Lilith. She came to us already pregnant and is now nearing the end. Looks like she swallowed a cantaloupe, poor thing. We brought her home from my in-laws parents on January 9th and it wasn't long before she was showing that little bit that let me know she was pregnant. My mother-in-law swore she wasn't.

From here, you'll be able to see her get larger fairly quickly.

My himalayan has started matting on her sides. I have been brushing her but im not sure if im allowed to pull at them . is it okay that i have been putting my hand on her neck and lifting her under the bum then she lays belly up on my legs so i can brush her gently. she is 27 days from conception

Ah, you are surely able to do most everyday routines.  Women in sports are allowed to train the whole time out as long as they are healthy.  Even compete till quite late, as long as they arent in full contact sports. (Soccer being quite touchy - being something in between...Yet I know of women soccer players who played at least till they were in 6 months).

Pregnant cats living on their own must manage anyway, no? running and jumping from predators, jumping up to their safe places, etc...

Do not do foolish things, but all normal handling is OK till quite late.

The same answer is if she jumps and runs.

I haven't been allowing my younger children to pick Lilith up once I noticed she was pregnant, but that is simply because they are quite young (my twins are 4) and sometimes don't understand just how strong they really are. Better safe than sorry.
 

Oh perfect thank you! i wont worry so much now when i brush her! i know i should poke and prod at her or pick her up without scooping her under the bum but once the matts start its sooo hard to control them.

Like StefanZ I can't see any picture or description.  If it is the cat in your profile picture, it is not at all possible to tell from that picture.

Her nipples are VERY pink and if she is unspayed and has been outside she is almost certainly pregnant yes.

If you want, it is probably still safe to proceed with a spaying at this time.  Vets can do it until quite late in a cat pregnancy.  Even if you do not want to proceed with a spay now, please get her spayed after she has this litter.  It will really be much safer and healthier for her.

she was bred on purpose she is pure bred himalayan. she only had one connection which is why i posted a picture to see what everyone thought. She is 29 days in and hasnt gained much weight but her nipples are rather large and pink.

Mucus plug isn't visible at all as its way up high protecting the entrance to the womb, it is only when labour approaches and the cervix begins to dilate that that mucus plug will come away and possibly be seen at that time
