The ^ > V Game

^ I am vey much a wanderluster. I have moved (as in hundreds to thousands of km, not as in house) 8 times in my adult life and haven't yet been anywhere more than 5 years.
> I'm most hesitant to continue with the above habit because one of my current cats is pretty high-stress and I worry about moving him a half-hour car ride and a new house, not to mention on a plane or an hours-long trip. I can do a lot of short-term travel now though, so that's nice.
v What is the furthest you have moved in one stop?

^ The furtherest I've moved is 1,900 miles, when I moved from Maryland to Arizona. What a change from east coast to southwest, in weather and culture.

> I have procrastinated about doing my taxes and will be going tomorrow to have them done.

v What is the most beautiful place you've been to?

^Oooh, difficult. For cities/buildings, it's probably a tossup between Talinn, Estonia and Brugge(Bruges), Belgium. As quoted in the fine film In Bruges, "It's like a f@*&!^$ fairytale." For nature/scenery, between Iceland and maybe the northern California coastline. There are many beautiful places. I'm bad at favorites in most things.

^ Get my coffee and laze around for a bit

v Any plans for today?

^ Eat, sleep, relax...wash, rinse, repeat. 

> It's foggy this morning, Zoey's being grumbly, and Abby's making chirping noises at the birds outside.

v Breakfast time! What are you AND your furbabies having?

^ I didn't eat anything but Paul and Chula split a can of Fancy Feast.

> Today I got a maze feeder so they'd have more fun eating their overnight kibble.

v Do your cats get fed overnight?

^ Yes, Abby gets fed pretty much all the time.
> I'm going out to lunch today
v When was the last time you went out to lunch?

^ Saturday, I went out for pancakes and eggs before going to a movie.

> I got my garage floor coated today. It looks so pretty in there now.

v What home improvements have you done or had done?

^ The biggest home improvement project I ever did was moving.      I did landscape my garden, back when I had one and painted the interior of the house.  

> I'm going nuts without a car and no handy public transportation.

v  Have you ever used ZipCar or a similar service?

^ I have a paid membership to Zipcar and have used them three times - not enough to justify the cost of membership, really, but it's definitely helped.

> I now have my own car, but it...well...it needs help. Big-time help. Transmission help. Ugh...so I'm going to hold onto my Zipcar membership for awhile longer.

v Entirely unrelated to the above: what is the longest time you have ever spent preparing a meal?

^ Probably Thanksgiving every year. I start amkign things weeks in advance and freezing them.

v When was the last time you were at the dentist?

^ It's been a while but I need to go, I've had a tooth ache all weekend.

> I have suffered from depression for the past 15 years.

v What is something on your bucket list that you want to do this year?

^ I want to break away from friendships that are negative and making me unhappy. I'm a positive person.

> My new garage floor is finished and looks so good it makes the whole garage look pretty.

v How do you feel about the philosophy " The only thing we have complete control of is our attitude " ?

^ I would like to think that I have complete control over many aspects of my life, not merely my attitude, but the societal conditioning and programming that we are all subjected to from birth does tend to stand in the way of true freedom.

> I do everything I can to keep things that are "bad" away from my kitties, but they always seem to find a way to access them! Seriously, they're like human toddlers with dexterity and know-how!

v What would you do to survive not having an Internet connection (including wi-fi) or a celluar signal of any kind, and being isolated from other people, for a period of not less than one month?

^  The voices in my head keep me entertained for a long time. Honestly=It wouldn't bother me. I love to read and garden or workout--I would just spend more time working out or learning something new. I used to study textbooks in school that were not what we had to read because I had a voracious appetite for learning. So with my roomful of books and weights-oh the cats too-I would have plenty to do.

>I have always wanted to work in the medical field either animal or people-I have been taking online biology related classes for the past 3 years but I have lapsed this for the past 6 months-trying to get back into a routine of learning because honestly I am bored with my life.

V-What is one of the things you are working on or want to work on-project/career/family etc? What gives you satisfaction in life?

^ I'm getting involved again with photography - I used to do a lot back in the days of film cameras but don't have a good digital camera yet.

>  My apartment is due for an inspection tomorrow and i'm cleaning out the fridge.  Yuck.

v  What is the worst spoiled item you've found in your fridge?

^ That would have to be the hard boiled egg that smelled like vinegar. Won't forget them again!

> I'm getting my taxes amended tomorrow. Looks like I might get something back instead of owing like the tax preparer first figured it to be.

v  What's your favorite game on thecatsite? Any reason?

^ I don't play many of the games but I do love the monthly photo contest. I love seeing everyone's pictures of their sweet kitties.

> I'm going to work at Relay for Life tonight.

v Outside of foster & rescue, do you do any other volunteer work?

^ I'm not currently doing any volunteering but will soon be helping at one of the local pet adoptions sites.

> Got my taxes amended today and I'll be getting money back instead of owing. Yah!

v Have you fostered any kitties or dogs and how has it worked out?

^  No, I've never officially fostered any kitties or dogs.  I would like to do so but already have two cats and am not allowed any more where I live.  I did once take care of an abused cat my neighbor had found until she (the cat) went to a rescue group.  After a month of thinking of her every day, I ended up taking her back from the rescue and adopting her.  

> I have been binge watching an old hilarious British comedy called Black Books.

v Do you ever binge watch shows?  What's your favorite, if you do?
