My Grizabella has a habit of eating too fast sometimes, which causes her to vomit shortly after eating (or sometimes during and landing in her water bowl, lovely). She's done this since she was a kitten and is 7 years old now. Is there anyway to help slow her down? She doesn't do it everytime, but pretty much once a week.

Does it happen with dry food or wet food or both? With dry food you can put a golf ball or something similar into the bowl, so that she has to eat around it. With wet food, you can smush the food down into a flat layer which should slow her down.

My cat did that the first time he ate raw chicken. Now, I just control how fast he eats by waiting for him to chew and swallow before throwing down another piece.

With hard food, you can make a line of it like o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o that. I did that to help my cat lose weight - she had to walk across the room to get all the pieces.
