One of my cats has gastrointestinal lymphoma and he takes 1.5mL a day of liquid Prednisolone. I've been giving him .75mL at 8am and .75mL at 2pm but I want to change 2pm to 8pm so that it's every 12 hours that I'm giving to him. Should I give him the dose at 2pm that will cause him to have a extra .75mL for 18 hours when changing the time I'm giving it to him or should I not give him the dose at 2pm?

I'm sorry that I hadn't replied the same day y'all replied.

Thanks for letting me know that it would be best to not give him the 2pm dose.

He's been taking Prednisolone since December and he was doing great after I had started giving it to him twice a day but this weekend his breathing & muscle loss has been getting worse. Since I read that giving it to them at night is better I started that after I got the replies from y'all & I've also switched it back to once a day in the evening.

Hopefully he just has a kitty cold instead of the Prednisolone no longer working.

A few hours after I sent my reply I knew that tonight was his last so I held him & talked to him until he crossed the bridge
