I'm looking to get one or two more quality grain free canned foods into my two adult girls' rotation.  They had been on Holistic Select, the Duck flavor and the Lamb flavor, until one developed some crystals (no blockage) and because they eat together they were on prescription food for a while.  I've transitioned them now to six days of regular food and one day of prescription per week.  I'm a bit hesitant to put them back on the Holistic Select since that's what they were on when the one got crystals, so for lack of being able to figure out any other affordable solution (HS was affordable due to being available in 13 oz cans), I've got them on Sheba pate (no fish flavors).  I have tried both Innova and Evo 95 in the past and they didn't care for them, although I may give these another shot.

At one point they seemed to really like PetGuard, then suddenly for no apparent reason they didn't, but I'm thinking of trying it again (only a couple flavors).

I'm wondering what folks think of PetGuard's ingredient list (quoted below).  No carrageenan, so that's good.  It does have some rice flour and guar gum that I'm not wild about.  I actually view the DL-Methionine as a plus since there have been some (albeit relatively minor) crystal issues.

Here goes:

PetGuard Premium Feast -

Those ingredients look good to me. If your cats will eat it and like it and it's good for your budget, it's a win-win for all.

Thanks much!  I thought it sounded pretty good.  Not perfect, but I'm finding that not much out there is.  I will probably give it another shot and see if they like it in rotation with their other foods.
