Went on a date...

I went on a date with this guy that also had two cats. During our conversation about our cats, he admitted to free-feeding kibbles to his cats because he didn't want them to bug him for food...

Yes, I judged...but I smiled and suppressed my inner voice, yelling "you should stop free-feeding kibbles! No wonder your cat got sick!" I really hope he is at least feeding them grain-free kibbles.

I think I have become a bit of a cat snob. I also love talking about my cats to everyone I meet. I don't think it's looking too hopeful for my love life hahahahaha but at least I have my babies with meeeee! <3

Happy Friday! It's hard to resist making suggestions when you meet cat owners who are ill-informed (or lazy). You weren't tempted to tell him to read up on cat nutrition?

Well, I didn't want to offend the guy by insinuating I thought he wasn't doing the best of his cats. He said he had just spent 5K on the cat's medical bills. At least he seemed to love the cat enough to part with that much money. He said the cat had problems and lost a bunch of weight...but the vet could not figure out what was wrong. They did eventually figure out that something was wrong with his Pancreas, where it wasn't producing this enzyme or something like that. Cat's doing better now, he said.

I did tell him that Fancy Feast was fine as long as it was the Classic Pate line lol.

Love your cats are forever poster.....at least he is a cat lover, that's a plus, you can gently guide him in the way of all things cat as you get to know him
