Update! Sorry I haven't been on here much, but just wanted to give you an update. Ivan has grown up! He is now nearing 16 months old and has grown quite a luxurious coat. He is still a very easy-going kitty, and is obsessed with food! We have to work to keep him out of our food! But we love him, he's great! I keep up-to-date pics of him (and our 2 dogs) on my Instagram - find me at @Purrsnwags

Thank you.  I love my Siberian Cat. She turns 1 on Sunday.  I am so in love with the breed.  If I had more money I would have two!  The family I got her from was so perfect.  They were a Russian family and had a boy and a girl as a pet and they just bred those and took care of the kittens in their house.  She told me that they were going to stop breeding though after one litter after my Lily.  I wrote them an email to ask just in case and to see if they recommended anyone.  They were in the Bay Area, CA.  Their website is smilycat.com.

Good luck finding the right breeder.

Thank you for the updated picture of Ivan.  Those eyes!  Oh my gosh- what a color.

Great story I have for you.  I've wanted a second Siberian every since my first that I got on Mother's Day last year but my husband wasn't too keen on it because of the cost.

Someone commented on this post and I mistakenly thought it was to a post of my kitten and I accidentally answered them telling them about my breeder.  To help that member I asked my breeder if she was still breeding because she was about to spay her male when I picked my Lily up.  Turns out she had just had her last litter (two litters after my Lily) and had one boy left.

Well this had me extra involved in thinking about how much I wanted another Siberian.  I started begging my husband if I could get on a wait list to get another cat for Mother's Day or summer.  After a lot of talk I was so disappointed he said we couldn't afford it and that we could talk about it next year.  Within an hour of this final verdict I got an email from my breeder (who again I had only emailed just to double check for that member who had written you) She sent me 4 gorgeous pics of her last Siberian from her very last litter.  If I wanted him he was available THAT DAY!  Plus she agreed to a discounted price because I had bought a cat from her before.  I showed my husband, told him he was Lily's younger brother and that this all seemed like fate.  He thought about it a few more hours and said YES!  I picked him up that night.  I am so thrilled.  My new male cat, Chilly Marvin, is colored like Ivan (not quite the same eyes though... more of a yellow green). He is so sweet- doesn't nip or scratch ever- and just wants to be petted and played with.  He's so snuggly and he's so super cute and beautiful.

Anyway.. I wanted to say thank you for this great post that made someone ask you about your breeder, which made me accidentally think she was talking to me, which made me contact my breeder and start begging my husband for a cat, and which made me suddenly have one that very weekend!!!!

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

As soon as I get the two cats together I will definitely post some pics of them together.  Can't wait!  But I'll be patient for their sake.

Mazie you made me laugh!

I had put up some pictures under the forum fur pics and videos only (I think that's the title).  It's under Meet Chilly Marvin- male Siberian.

Like I said more pics coming.

Beesto, thanks for sharing your pics, you could never post too many, I love looking at pics of others pets, especially Siberians! What handsome couple you have, how old are they? Your colorpoint guy is sure fluffy! And the other one looks a lot like mine! Looks like they get along well together. Are they from the same breeder?

Good to know about never too many pics.  :-)  This might be a phase but I"m having so much taking pictures.  Thanks for the compliments.  Lily is quite fluffy, also shedding a lot for the first time this spring.  She's 13 months.  Chili is 5 months.  They both have the same mom and dad.  The breeder only had her two house cats who she bred for I think a few years and Chili was the last cat in her litter after she spayed her male.  He was the last one though because she wanted to keep him but in the end her husband talked her out of it and luckily that was right when I was contacting her. Talk about awesome timing!  I'm really enjoying them having fun together.  They are our only pets and my husband and I both work so I know Lily was pretty lonely until now.  It's so cute to see her with her younger brother and vice versa.  Chili is a love bug and Lily loves to be around us but doesn't want as much affection except from Chili.  I absolutely love them!

P.S.  Do you do your own photography?  You or your photographer are quite talented.  I might have to finally learn a few tricks with my camera to continue my cat photo interest.

Oh, wow! He's beautiful! Looks a little bit like a very fluffy version of my Erik.

I am a huge sucker for silver/blue tabbies. Erik is my first, but I've always had a soft spot for them.

I love the updated pictures, he grew up so beautiful!

So nice to find this post about your silver Siberian boy!  I also have cat allergies and am getting a silver male in two weeks.  He is gorgeous, just like your lovely Ivan.  I'm calling him Boris Yeltsin, lol.

I am hoping for minimal sneezes!

Here he is!
