Pregnant and in heat????

So my friend came by today to show me her new kitty she rescued. BUT the minute he saw Silver he started sniffing her butt, i turned away for maybe 5 min to make some coffee for my friend...he bit on the small of her neck and she let him and he mounted her for a sec but they didnt do it because I took him off!!! WTH??? Do they wanna have sex when they are pregnant? And doesnt the male know she is already pregnant? HELP SOMEONE? ANYONE? Is this why she wants to go outside ?(ofcourse I dont let her).

What kind of person brings a cat to someones house for a visit?  If she wanted to show off her cat, she should have invited you to her house.   I have heard that cats can be pregnant with two sets of litters.  I am not sure about time frame of how that works and never had any experience with it.  She just might want to go outside because she is used to being out and it might not have anything to do with being in heat.  Also, one cat mounting another can have more of a dominance showing of I am top cat here and not have to do with sex at all.  I haven't seen it in cats but dogs do the dominant mounting all the time whether they are fixed or not.

That makes sense. ..yes she surprised me but she said she had just gotten him and she passed by...she has been an indoor cat all her life..she did get out 2xs and thats how she got pregnant. ..yes it could be the dominance thing...but she was putting her tail to one side and lifted her hips up offering herself to him...also yes there is a way a cat can have 2 or 3 litters from different males but that is done on that one time she is in heat...she is almost due thats why I was surprised because normally they would not let a male get close enough to do that while she is pregnant.

So my question remains...will a queen still go in heat even while she is pregnant? Is it not like us humans, 80% of women that stop their menses while pregnant? Its weird. Lol Thank you for your comment Midnightkitty

So I thought I was right..female cats do not go into heat after she has been impregnated. ..if she acts like she is its because the time to have her kittens is getting close.
