Hi there. Mama's been off her food Saturday and Sunday, and Sunday night and this (Monday) morning she was just nibbling. I put down some fresh food (Dine turkey in sauce or something) and she had a little taste. It hadn't been down her more than a couple of minutes before it came up again. I'm really worried; she was spayed on Thursday and she was fine Thursday night and Friday, but I can't stop thinking what if something went wrong in the surgery? Her stitches don't look inflamed or infected (although she's managed to chew one out, Mama why). I doubt whoever had her before me had her immunised against anything, so that's next on my list. Bear in mind I've only had her 2 weeks tomorrow, so haven't been able to get everything done that she needs yet. Thanks for your time.

Hi there,

I know how scary it is to have a cat throw up. And especially if she hasn't eaten in a few days. I would probably take her to the vet to make sure there's no problem. If nothing else, perhaps they can give her sub-q fluids, which will help with dehydration and might make her feel better. And that might be all she needs to stop throwing up.

Sorry you're going through this. Good luck.

Ah, thank you. I took her to the vet, and they said that she has a bit of a temperature, possibly an infection from her licking her stitches, or she caught something. I have only had her for 2 weeks (she was more or less a stray before) so I don't know what she was exposed to before then, or if she picked up something at the vet. They said she's quite healthy on the whole and gave me some antibiotics. She has also been put in a cone, which she hates. My poor angry lamp.
