Ok so Ryelie isnt fixed yet do to unforeseen bills. We have two toms(my housemates cats) and even though ive been very good about keeping them separated, Ryelie learned how to open the front door to my part of the house and at one point was in the same area as the toms. Im not sure if shes preggo but im going to post pics and gt your guys opinions, i do plan on taking her to the vet but if i could try to have an idea it will help me prepare for the costs, so here are some pics, help me out please!?

Generally speaking, an unspayed female who is around a tomcat for any amount of time will get pregnant :(. I would guess that she is, especially this time of year. Usually you can see their nipples start to pink up after 3-4 weeks along.

On an unrelated note, I've always wondered how people live with tomcats indoors. Isn't the odor terrible?

We actually have no problems with our toms they only mark in the litter boxes which are on our enclosed perch..

Also, i know.. but i was hopping it wouldnt happen, not like i could foresee my cat being intelligent enough to open my door aha

And i refuse to abort the pregnancy, cause its not like she can say no..

Well, it's not like she could say no to getting pregnant either :tongue2:. So I'm not sure the concept of consent is useful when dealing with ethical conundrums like this. For myself, I look at the chances of the kittens getting GOOD permanent homes. If their chances aren't so good, I figure it's better to end their lives before they really live than for them to be killed later in life for lack of a home.

LOL, I have a stray tom in my spare bathroom right now (I took him in because's he's injured, waiting until he's well enough to be neutered) and even though he's using the litterbox, the urine odor is so strong! I could not tolerate that long-term.

As well as the cost of raising a litter of kittens. The mom cat will come back into heat only a couple of weeks after giving birth while she is still nursing the kittens. This means she will get pregnant again if not spayed.

If you don't want to get her spayed you might have to think about getting a big lock for your door. So she can't get out otherwise you will be back in the same situation again a couple of weeks after she gives birth.
