New first time cat owner here

Just thought I'm stop over here and say hi.  I recently brought home a grey fluff-ball called Josephine, who I decided to adopt from a shelter.  I think she more or  less picked me out, lol.  I thought of getting a cat for a while but just never did.  I guess I was just waiting for the the right one.  I will no doubt have questions since this is the first cat I've ever owned, and this site looks like a helpful place.

Congratulations on owning your first cat! It will be one of the best decisions you ever made as they bring so much love and joy to us humans. I'm also a first time cat owner. I have a 7 month old kitten who I brought home at about 4 months old. His name is Tigger. He got neutered not too long ago. Together we will learn a lot from here. Cats are wonderful in every way.  As a lifetime cat person, despite all my experience with cats, this board is tremendously helpful in answering cat questions about things that crop up, from health to food, to behavior to whatever....cats are wondrous, mysterious creatures and can be amazingly complex ...we are all in this together !

This is one of the best boards I have seen, very established, friendly and with an INCREDIBLE number of cat people who are really experienced with the kitties.
