Dear friends,
I am from India. In India, the veterinary practices are not much developed as in the western developed countries. We also do not have veterinary hospitals to admit our pets in their illness. We have only small dispensaries. My lovely male cat stopped eating one day. I thought, he will be alright next day. On the next day also he did not eat any food and did not drink water. I noticed that he started breathing problem. I rushed him to my vet. He took the body temperature. It was 97. My vet told me that this low temperature is worrying. He said, it appears that the cat has lung and intestine infection. He gave him antibiotic injection. He also gave him an injection of a pain killer. My vet told me that the condition is very critical and suggested me to bring him again in the evening if he improves. The cat otherwise was looking very normal. I returned home and kept my cat under observation. Unfortunately, only within hour after the injection, my beloved friendly cat had convulsions and he died due to cardiac arrest. I am confused. Whether it is due to the adverse reaction of antibiotics or due to lung infection ? Does lung infection develops within 24 hrs to kill the cat ?
