Good day to you!! I have 2 kittensbat home and they are very energetic and its a joy to watch them run around and play. They are lexi and levi. And today, my cousin went to my house and brought along with her a 2 month old shih tzu puppy. I thought she came to visit but i was shocked because the main purpose was for her to give me the puppy. Her dogs just had a litter by the way. Anyway, the puppy is very sociable and playful. So I took him. And now whenever my kitties play, my doggy wants to join in and have fun but my kitties curl up and hiss and runaway and hide and so my doggy would come up to me instead. I dont want to give one of them up.i dont want this matter to end in a blood bath. Any advise on as to what to do to get them comfortable to each other?

You may want to keep your puppy on a leash when he is around the kittens until they get used to him, you'll have better control of him. They WILL get used to him, it's just going to take time. Give your puppy toys and treats to carry around, then he won't be so interested in the kittens. It just takes time, they are all young so sooner or later they will get used to each other.

I agree with Di and Bob. If socialized with each other thoroughly from the start (this is especially important since you have a puppy and kittens), they will learn to get along perfectly (or at least not bother each other) into adulthood. If the kitties are bothered by the puppy's rambunctiousness, try placing the puppy in a crate (with his toys) near an area where the kitties play so that they can smell him and get used to his smell without the puppy bothering them.

After the kitties get used to his smell, like Di and Bob said, put him on a leash and let them smell each other nose-to-nose. If you keep the puppy on a leash with a firm hand, he will not try to play with the kittens. I'm sure that they will learn how to get along perfectly very soon.

Best wishes.
