My cats new chabges

So I have started introducing timed feeding to my girls by only giving them enough food for breakfast and dinner so they do go hours without food till next meal, I'm also introducing wet food as there 2nd meal every night and it alternates between tin of wet food or chicken necks, I saw something on here about if cats could tell us how to feed them they would just say defrost a mouse so I'm considering getting them frozen mouse from the pet shop to have once a week... Oppions the complete timed feeding of just leaving food out for a hour is postponed due to me now having to change that there not allowed in my bedroom because they wake me early morning how long should I give them to get use to new sleeping arrangement before I implement complete timed feeding and can I feed them a mouse brought as pet food once a week

A mouse is great as a snack if your cats will eat it.
