Been doing more research into types of cat food. Have come to conclusion that wet is better than dry but there are so many brands... Firstly as well as providing wet food i will do more research into homemade raw to add a bit of variety to the diet and ensure water (in clean bowl) is available at all times. Heard royal canin is good but read reviews that a type of their wet food gave some kitties bad tummies :( so I am soooo confused as to what brands are good. Heard brands such as whiskas have very little meat content so i want to avoid this? Need help into possible brands and possible futher insight into raw foods..

Thanks :)

That's good you want to feed the best food possible to your cat. I agree: so many choices, so much confusion. (So much marketing!)
This is a good chart as a start to figure out what brands are the lowest in carbohydrates, which is what you want to feed a cat, in my opinion.
What you cat is sensitive to really depends on, well, YOUR cat. For example, I fed raw, and Rit loves liver, but some cats can't stand liver (but strangely the same cats will eat freeze dried liver).
I would look for grain free food, but even then you need to read the label. Grain free does not mean carbohydrate free; for examples, pea is not a grain, but has a lot of carbs. Here is an article about grain free foods. And here is an article that talks about what makes a good canned food, well, good.
If you're considering raw (I fed raw), you might find this thread interesting. EVO consistently gets good marks. Pricy, but comes in big cans, I believe, which makes it less expensive per ounce.
