As I'd mentioned previously, I was trying Sheba on Dandy. I suspect this Walmart is closing it out because I only had the choice of 3 pates and one was fish.  She ate the chicken & liver but had soft stools; however she'd also had some Weruva.

Today I tried the chicken and she did her "I don't want this" routine.  She is "starving" and then she looks at it and comes back to the kitchen but after a bit she gives in and eats the &*%* (well, she gives you the general idea of what she thinks of it). She didn't seem to want any more either and I'd given her about 3/4 can.

I cannot recall if this is a generally liked flavor or not?  I do want to give this stuff a fair trial but based on today, I'm not giving her the other can of chicken. We'll be going to a different Walmart Friday if most cats dislike their chicken for some reason, I might find another flavor.

I have a can of Wellness chicken here and I don't usually do Wellness two days in a row but maybe I will switch to it or FF chicken.

both my kitties love sheba. however the chicken and liver flavor did not gain popularity.

i usually mix two cans and split it between my two kitties. i'll mix two different flavors and they dont' care. but the chicken and liver round i did (i did only one) they did not like it.

try the turkey flavor. that was the first sheba cat food they had, and they both loved it. they love the chicken, and they also liked the beef & chicken one. Turkey and Beef & Chicken are their faves. They also get Salmon, and Chicken & Tuna.

Thanks. Oddly enough, she didn't seem to fuss about eating the Chicken & Liver. She had 2 cans in one days.  Yesterday was Wellness Beef & Chicken and then Wellness Kitten food.  It's the Sheba Chicken that she didn't want to eat.

I'm not entirely sure that turkey agrees with her the best and I was going to avoid it as soon as we've finished the FF turkey and giblets.  She eats it fine but doesn't seem to feel as good.

I feed Sheba Premium Pates to two of my cats. Neither of them care for the Chicken Entree or Chicken & Liver Entree. They like the Turkey Entree the best. They also like the Salmon Entree that I let them have occasionally. I'll probably stop buying the chicken because it just goes to waste.

I still keep them in the rotation, but the chicken flavor and the turkey flavor are about a 50/50 shot. Sometimes I'll hold out an extra hour or two on the schedule to make sure they're hungry, but that doesn't always work.

Beef and beef & chicken are the chow it down favorites. Chicken & liver, chicken & tuna and the salmon usually get pecked at, but eaten. Haven't really tried any of the other fish flavors. I have weird cats that usually wont eat the shrimpy/mixed seafood stuff.

My finicky cat likes the chicken and turkey & giblets flavors in cuts. He won't eat any pate textures from any brand.

Thanks for the responses.  I was ready to give up on Sheba because we already have Beef in NVI and Beef and Chicken in Wellness and FF has chicken pretty well covered too.

After throwing that little fit yesterday morning over the Sheba Chicken, I decided not to push the other can or the rest of the Sheba chicken.  Today, I gave her 1/2+ can of NVI Rabbit and she was still fussing.  At this point we had 4 opened cans of cat food in the refrigerator (DH had fed her FF with gravy last night forgetting she'd gotten loose stools from that, plus 2 H&G flavors she doesn't like).  I decided to try the rest of the Sheba Chicken and she ate it without any problem whatsoever.  If you can figure them out, you're better than me.

Yesterday, she insisted on being fed early at 3 instead of 4 and then started fussing about 5 and ate again twice more.  She really seemed hungry too. I've come close to just putting out the dry - she was trying to open the bag yesterday and today she was knocking the cans down.  Isn't it great that they don't have thumbs?

The local store has put the FF on sale this week so I suppose I will be in there tomorrow morning with other crazy cat ladies.  I have to find 45 cans to get the special.

All 7 of my cats like the chicken. But at least one turns her nose up at the beef flavors.

She actually likes the Beef NVI and seems happy with Wellness Beef and Chicken.  I haven't had the heart to try Hound & Gatos Beef yet.

I went to the FF sale today and was the only crazy cat lady there, but had a hard time finding 45 suitable cans.  I did have to get a few fish classics but I did pretty well. I'm not sure saving the small amount of money was worth it. Their Sheba was expensive - 10/$6. I didn't try the FF beef ones since they seem to be disliked also but then it seems like a good number of cats don't like beef.

She got fussy about Wellness chicken too today but then ate it.  It's the only can of the plain chicken I'd ever tried. The texture is kind of funny.

Thanks for the responses.  I think, considering her response and the lack of variation in flavors, we'll just stick to Fancy Feast in the lower range.  I have a terrible feeling if I buy big cans of the other stuff, she'll take against it, but it makes sense to try it.  She's eaten one 5.5 oz. can of Wellness today.
