My cat Mini-min is pregnant at the moment. She is about  12 months old. We took her to the vet and were told to feed her kitten food because it has alot of calories.  Don't forget to monitor your cats eating habits, and if you have more than one cat make sure they dont get to it and ONLY the pregnant cat, or they will get fat!

This is a pro spay/neuter forum. If you are not a registered breeder of pure-bred cats then we recommend you get your female cat spayed asap. OR - at the very least, keep her indoors so she cannot become pregnant ever again. Please be advised of our forum stance on the subject in the link below.

3. This is a pro-spay-and-neuter website. Please make sure to spay and neuter your cats. Unless you are a professional breeder and your cat is part of a professional breeding program, please educate yourself to the importance of spaying and neutering by the time your cat is 4-6 months old. If you take care of a feral colony, please make sure to do so responsibly by practicing TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) protocols within the colony.

Thanks! We will be getting her spayed. We just have on male and one female in the house so we will be getting them fixed as soon as possible.

Get the male neutered ASAP. Females can get pregnant again right after giving birth, and males can retain some sperm for a while after being neutered. So you want to have that done well before the babies are born, or you'll have to find a way to keep them separate until she's spayed.

Yes, give her kitten food, wet food is better so she gets enough protein and moisture. Make sure she gets as much as she wants---growing babies in your body takes a lot of calories!
