Hi everyone! I am an American living in the Middle East. I am from east TN originally. Before moving here I had two gorgoues gray cats sister from differant liters and was not able to bring them. It really broke my heart and I still miss them badly. That was 7 years ago and although I love cats I never would get another bc of the heartbreak of that. I do not think I could go through that again.

This past weekend some how my family and I (husband, son and I) ended up buying a shirazi cat that is 3 months old. She is pure white with striking blue eyes and has a beautiful personality. I could not have asked for a better one! We are really happy together and please read her page to get to know more about her and the sad way her life started.

I found this forum bc I was searching for more about her breed. I found someone else asking about the breed from this same city and I was like wow a cat forum and joined right away.

Welcome to TCS ! :wavey:

Your new cat sound gorgeous ! What's her name ?

For any one reading this that wants to know what a Shirazi cat is. It's a breed of cat from the Middle East that is a cross between Persians and Egyptian Maus.
It's appearance is a semi-longhair or longhair that resembles the traditional style Persian and occurs in a wide range of coat patterns including solids and tabby patterns.

Thank you for the warm welcome. It is weird we have yet to choose a name. Nothing  feels right! For every cat I have had names were easy and a perfect fit, but not with this one. My son likes fluffy or bunny and I kinda like Miss. Kitty. She just seems so prissy and cute :)

Bunny is a cute name for a cat - I haven't heard it before either.

She sounds like a little princess.

Bunny won and kids always seem to pick some really great names.
