I've already made a thread but after some prompting thought I would introduce myself...I'm Jenn, and I'm a first time cat owner, I adopted my 3 and a half year old boy from the local humane society in December. He's a sweetie and a real hit with the ladies so I named him Byron (after Lord Byron). At the humane society they told me that he wasn't declawed but I quickly figured out that whoever his previous owner was had his front paws declawed. :(

He is a TOTAL sweetheart. I'm so lucky to have a cat like him as I figure out this cat owner thing, he seems so happy and social!

(there he is interrupting a scrabble game with me, my mom, and my sister, who love to come visit him)

Hi
Welcome to you and to Byron.  I love his Scrabble skills, I had a couple of kitties that did that, and also liked to ping the letters about the place so I haven;t played for some years now.
@jcat's right,  Byron definitely knows how to get everyone's attention.
Looking forward to more kitty tales and photos as you find your way around the site.  Best wishes for your boy given his claw situation:(

BTW loving those socks on his back paws.

whatever

Thank you everyone! He is indeed very "helpful" in our scrabble games. So far he is only interested in sitting or walking on the board, nor in the letters so we manage to play as he looks on. Here's another pic of my boy (Most of my pics on my phone are of him :D).
In this picture he is saying "no more looking at the computer. Pay attention to meeee!"
