Good morning and Happy TGIF!

I had my hair colored last night, so no washing it this morning.....I try to let it go for two days after a color.

But our Question today concerns your hair.

What shampoo and/or conditioner do you use on your hair? Any other products? And how often do you wash your hair?

Right now I'm using Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil both shampoo and conditioner. I like to switch shampoos and conditioners and I'll go between Garnier Triple Nutrition and Pantene for color-treated hair. Thought I'd try Organix and, so far, I love it. I use Garnier Blowout Straightening Balm right before I blow dry my hair. (Not that it matters because I can't do a blow out on my own hair to save my life. The front always looks OK, but the back of my hair lays in waves and no amount of brushing will straighten them. The stylist can do it, but I can't. People always ask me if those waves are natural and, yeah, they are.)

(Rick uses whatever is lurking in the shower.
)

I wash my hair 2-3 times a week, more during the summer. It took me a long time to stop washing my hair every day. Right now, everything is so dry in the house and my hair is, too. Does anybody have a good moisturizing treatment you can recommend?

And guys, feel free to chime right in on this one, too!

Right now I'm using Nexxus 'youth rejuvenating' shampoo and so far like it very much. I color my hair too and the shampoo seems to condition it without causing it to go flat. My hair is baby fine and thin, but in the winter can get frizzy. Usually I can't condition it because it flattens it too much, I need VOLUME! It's a little pricey, but it's cheaper on Amazon. My husband uses the ones I don't like, I just mix them together and keep adding, he must think he has a never ending bottle!

I use different stuff all the time. I can't use the same shampoo for more than a couple of months or my head starts getting really itchy. It's happened with quiet a few different ones. I wash my hair almost every day. If I don't, it gets stringy and greasy.

I switch brands/formulas frequently. Right now I have the Whole Foods brand (360?) but I hardly ever get to Omaha so once that's gone I don't know what I'll use next. I prefer natural brands but I will use something cheap like Suave or White Rain conditioner (not the shampoo; too drying). I have also used Herbal Essences or Garnier Fructis. I have thick wavy hair so I need lots of moisturizer. I've been trying conditioner-only no-poo but I don't know if I want to continue. I think I'll buy some of the natural shampoo they have at Costco; my mom has been using it and says it doesn't make her hair dry and nasty: https://www.honest.com/bath-and-body/shampoo-body-wash

I wash my hair twice a week.

I have never colored or permed my hair. I don't use product. I used to blow-dry my bangs so they wouldn't go curly but haven't in a long time. I mostly just run my fingers through and call it good :tongue2:. I don't like fussing with my hair.

I also color my hair, and use Les Blondissimes (it's their maximum lightening formula) by L'oreal. It comes with a tube of conditioner like nothing else I have EVER found!

I have very long, extremely thick, full hair with a mind of it's own. (random waves, not the pretty, natural kind either)

The top half is color treated blonde, while the lower half is natural, brown, so it appears blonde until I put it up in a twist or use a big clip.

I use Pantene shampoo with the L'oreal conditioner, twice a week. I allow it to air dry, then hit it with a straightening iron, and a hotbrush on my bangs.

I do not re-iron since it stays straight until I wash it again, only using a hot brush on my bangs daily. Hair spray lightly.

Oh, the tube of conditioner, I never put it on top of my hair even though this is colored blonde (bleached) because I don't want a flat head :) I use a small amt, work it into the back of my hair quickly and get it rinsed out fast, otherwise it makes my hair crazy soft. When I am rinsing it out, I flip the back long hair up and rub it on the sides of my hair then, just enough to condition it without that flat look :)

Right now I've got a Panteen shampoo and Aussie conditioner.  I usually switch them up.  I'm more specific about what I don't use than what I do.  No V05 or the cheaper Suave.  I like Garnier's Anti-humidity smoothing milk.  I got something from Tress-eme that's supposed to do similar; but it just weighs my hair down and makes it feel waxy.  So I don't use it.  My hair has just enough wave to be annoying.  It helps tame things a bit.  But I'm finding that with my hair super long (much  closer to my waist than mid back now) the waves look better than when it's shoulder length.  Anything shorter than that looks awful unless I put a lot of effort into it.  And that ain't happenin!

If I'm going to style my hair I will use some moose instead and it helps.  Sometimes I straighten it; sometimes I just blow it dry and curl the ends.  Either way looks pretty nice.  I just don't have time or patience for it a lot of days.  I'm scheduled for a cut next week.  The first one in about a year and a half!

I have always had very oily skin and it shows in my hair.  I started washing only 4 times a week about 6 weeks ago.  It seems like my scalp is less oily now. Wish that would work for my face!!  I condition every time I shampoo; but never to the roots.

My go to brand for at least a year now is Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Shampoo and the matching conditioner.  This is the original one.  I tried the Organix brand but didn't like the consistency and seemed like I need to use more of it to get the job done.

I also use their oil on my wet hair - leave absolutely no residue.

I wash my hair every other day now - used to be daily but as I'm getting older it doesn't seem to need it that frequently.

At the moment I'm using Pantene shampoo and conditioner, but I switch brands constantly. My hair gets washed just about every day, because it's usually standing on end when I wake up.

I follow the curly girl method although my hair is only wavy, so I don't shampoo my hair as often as others. I "wash" it every day with no-silicone conditioners. I use Suave and V05 to wash it and sometimes as a leave in. I use anything from Sally's to WEN as heavier condish.

I recently discovered that just by putting on coconut oil on my hair I get rid of the frizzies!  Doesn't look very good , but then you wash it out as you normally would.

I have tried many "hair products" , that claim to get rid of the frizz but never did until this.

I use Desert Essence Organics but hope to find a kind that cleans better (like Bio Groom dog shampoo!  It cleans wonderfully......)  I saw a recipe for homemade hair gel using gelatin.  Just started using that so not sure what kind of difference it's making yet.

I'm fairly low maintenance when it comes to my hair.  Was using Suave producst for a while - until my scalp started breaking out.  Switched to VO5 and haven't had a problem since.

When I was working I would have to shower/shampoo daily.  Now that I'm not (and hopefully the situation is temporary), I'm only doing so every other day.  My hair gets very stringy and oily if I go more than two days without washing it.  Usually towel dry and leave it at that.  If I know I have to be somewhere and have to look decent, I'll use the hairdryer set to low and dry until only slightly damp.  Don't use hair spray or gel.

cheap shampoo(currently suave, bought 100 or so bottles with coupons/sales and use some scents to clean litter boxes and the fruity ones for my hair) and fructis conditioner.  Last 2 years I HAVE to use conditioner or I can not brush my hair.  No idea what happened as it has never been this bad.  I have dyed it in past but currently almost all my hair is untouched but ends.

I use TRESemme Keratin Smooth shampoo and conditioner. It's sort of pricey, but I have super thick, frizzy hair. Since using this for a few months, I can wear my hair down and it looks pretty good. I also add FX Silk Drops to it to further tame the frizz. Before using this Keratin product, the silk drops wouldn't do nearly enough.

I condition my hair about every other day, but I only shampoo it about once a week.

I only use Nexus products, including a leave in conditioner. Every two or three washes, I use a clarifying shampoo they make. It strips the old hair products from your hair. I wash it maybe two times a week.
