They have side by side toilets like that in the rest stops on the Pennsylvania turnpike in the "family" ones.  One normal size one and one low to the ground, kid size one.  It's handy at this stage of my life!

Aha! Maybe that solves the mystery - they're family toilets! I didn't know they had ones like that on the PA turnpike now.

I learnt this cat fact today

Cats can make over 100 vocal sounds, while dogs can only make 10. Also cats rarely meow at other cats
:lol3: I am going to have to have a talk with Abby about this as she rarely meows. She apparently has a huge repertoire and she is holding back. :lol3:
My Gezer makes up for anything other cats miss. He's incredibly talkative, so much so that people sometimes tell him to please shut up because they can't concentrate with him giving speeches. He can sound incredibly human too, so you find yourself actually listening and trying to understand his "words". He can absolutely say "Eema" which is Hebrew for "Mommy". He got me out of bed in the middle of the night more than once, thinking one of the kids was calling me.

I think that would have freaked me out a bit! :lol3:

Great work by abbys mom then. Just googled the toilet thing, interesting
There site has been a lot of trouble with the games this year hasn't there
Thanks! :)

I honestly don't even know what to say about the toilet thing. :uuh:

Wait until mservant mservant sees that there is another babbling thread. I think they are her favorite. :D

Oh yes ! I know what you mean. Mine all seem to be asleep at the moment. But I'm sure if I get up they will all become wide awake :lol3:

Traveling to visit my parents this weekend, pretty excited. My dad is gonna help me do my taxes so I don't have to pay to get them for again.

Haha- whenever my cats see another cat they try to paw the screen and even snap at it. No wonder they're so dominant with other cats

This sounds like a fun contest, by the way!

They rebuilt both the rest stops from the ground up on the north/south portion of it several years ago.  They did one at a time and it seemed it really took a while to get both done.  We go up that way several times a year.  They even have a large stall with a door right off the eating area that isn't gender specific.  I remember my ex-step-mother putting her hands over her boys' eyes to walk them to a stall in the ladies room when we were kids and my Dad wasn't with us.  These would have been handy!

Mogli was upset with me this morning because I slept 90 minutes longer than usual, and his daddy is still in bed. That's a long time to wait for breakfast.

Abby seems to be a bit cranky and unfriendly this morning. I don't know what is going on with her. :dk:

Mooch has been extra cuddly.  She was following me around and talking to me; so I picked her up for a snuggle.  I felt so much better after that.  I do think it lowers your blood pressure.

My 4 year old just told me we are going caroling tonight.

I've finally decided to buy some feather pillows. We used to have down ones, which I found too soft, but at least you can wash them whenever you want. Then we got foam, which are more comfortable, but aren't something you can wash often, and they don't hold up very long. Hopefully feather ones will be firmer than down, but as washable.

@jcat, Mogli must think you are a real cat then if @allenkm's information is correct :-D,  I too heard cats only meow for people.  I used to think Mouse was unusual the way he squeeks but actually it sounds like a lot of cats do it.  Mind you, Mouse doesn't do other cat sounds like hiss spit or growl.  It's just as well he purrs and meows in many tones including happy, plaintive, bored and demanding or I'd think I lived with a dog or a child...  I am most impressed by @Anne though, how on earth did Gezer learn Eema?!  That is brilliant.  I guess it's a bit like the cats on uTube that copy dogs barking and things. Wish Mouse would do something clever like that.

............

There was me thinking I might have shaken off my reputation for drivel, but now new members will know about me too.  Looks like my reputation is here to stay....
  I can't imagine why!
Everyone is safe though, at least until after the weekend.  I'm working for the next couple of days.  I won't be able to post 24/7 coz work gets in the way, it is such a nuisance.  I do like babbling as you probably all noticed, and it's about the only thing I'm likely to win anything for so I might as well take part?

@MoochnNoodles, I like your 4 year old
.  Caroling in February LoL.  How scary to know we are on the count down to Christmas 2014 already.
Does anyone know how many days there are to go?

I am going through a phase of thinking there is nothing interesting on TV here, but perhaps it's not that bad as no current endless coverage of one news item.  I might have be driven to selecting new pillows had I not decided a couple of years ago that any pillows I tried were equally uncomfortable and had a short life span; mostly because they all lost any decent support or texture as soon as they were washed.  It didn't matter how ridiculously expensive they were none of them lasted. I now buy cheep synthetic ones with cotton covers and once they need washing or flatten down I replace them.  I hate doing this as it seems very wasteful, so if anyone has found a nice supportive pillow that launders well and doesn't flatten, go lumpy, or in the case of foam crumble or break up, I would love to know!  Esp if they didn't cost a fortune.
