Costco has had Christmas stuff out for over a month now. It seems to start earlier every year.

its not even officially winter yet either. No wonder we get christmas overload before Decmber if they start a early as September.
it just gets more and more commercialised and its hard to avoid.

There should be a law not to have anything Christmas out until at least Nov 1st. I hate being over powered by Christmas even before Halloween.

I don't care for it either. But that's capitalism!

JMO, but all this overcommercialization is killing the holiday. My most enjoyable Christmas holidays were when I was a broke college student spending time looking at the holiday lights with friends, baking, playing games, and just enjoying the company of loved ones & the holiday spirit. The shopping frenzy takes the fun out of it for me. Giving gifts of time & love is much more enjoyable.

I guess I'm the odd man out here, but I don't mind it. I LOVE Christmas time and if it could be every day of the year that would be just fine with me! I guess it's because it's the only time of the year when my whole family gets together. We are all soooo far apart that we only get to see eachother for that short time. I just love the whole thing, commercialized as it may be!

I love the Christmas holiday, being with family, the beautiful decorations, the yummy smells and tastes, everything. I just get frustrated that the spirit is dampened by people worrying about buying presents when they can't afford it, going into debt, and all of the consumer craze.

I love this website - it talks about that, and gives great alternative ways to share love & have fun with the Christmas season.
