ricardo was one of my feral buddies that we fell so in love with, it seemed he had been part of my life forever.sadly he was mangled by coyotes, we had to have him put down.that was new years eve, and im still so sad about his death.this cat fought snakes in our yard, and surely loved to tend livestock with me in the barnyard and stables. Ricardo, you are still loved, and i will see you when its my turn to cross the bridge.R.I.P buddy.

Thank you for the kind words.i love all my fetals and being a country boy know full well what can happen out here in the sticks.ricardo was special from the first day we met.he came straight up to me, meowed, rubbed up on me as if to say here i am.you may feed me now.poor guy was eaten up with worms.after the vet visit, and getting neutered he let it be known he DID NOT want to be an inside cat.he was and still is a free spirit. we sure miss him.

I'm so very sorry for your loss, Ricardo sounds like my Casper who insists on being outside too. Sometimes we have to weigh the pro, their extreme happiness and a shorter life, against the cons, a long life indoors with extreme unhappiness. It's a terrible decision to make, but when I see him running with his tail bushed out for the sheer love of being outside, it seems to be the best decision. Your precious Ricardo will live on in your heart, and I'll bet you'll feel his spirit, still fighting those snakes and helping you tend to the livestock, with the person he loved. Please be comforted knowing he lived the life he wanted and he would not want you to dwell on his passing, but to remember him with a smile. RIP beautiful Ricardo!

So sorry for your loss! It is one of the saddest heart break. Just lost my kitty this month. I have her ashes and paw print in my room. I also made a little photo book of her and I am looking to adopt. Never to replace her just to give my love to another cat that needs it. Within time it will get easier. He is at peace. RIP Ricardo! :(
