hi again guys! I've notice yesterday that my KittyChans paws and ears are very warm. but then this morning it's normal then this afternoon it's quite warm again. i'm worried if she has maybe a fever or something please help me. she is very lively though. plays a lot. eats her food. drinks water but is more frequent than before? is she okay? or should I bring her to the vet?

to let you know, we have a very hot weather right now so I am thinking maybe this is what's causing it. but then I still need to hear from you guys to make sure. i'm a bit worried here :(

If it's hot weather, then more than likely this is the cause - hot paws mean that her body is doing the right thing - this is how they cool down I think. If she's playing and eating etc, I really woudn't take her to the vet, it's too stressful if no other symptoms. When my cat had a fever, he didn't move - no eating no nothing, no interest in anything other than sleeping. I guess everything ached and he felt terrible. The fact that your cat is normal in the morning and hot again in the afternoon sounds like it is the weather - night time is coolest isnt it then the day warms up?

If it's too hot there, you could try helping her cool down. I did it last summer when my cat wouldn't come inside - I went to him with ice wrapped up in a towel and gently stroked his back a few times, waited a few mins and then did it again - not too much because if they suddenly cool down too much it can make them unwell. He stopped panting quickly and it worked really well. I've read too that you can rub a little alcohol on their paws which can help them cool down faster and get a fan to circulate the air but don't put the fan directly on kitty for any more than 5-10 mins.
