So, my boy cat Luke recently had a virus, took him to the vet, the doc said everything was looking good except for the fact that he had a cold.... Now all of a sudden he has been acting really clingy and he just looks worn out.

This started right after I took him to the vet. He has been sitting and sleeping on my lap. He will also get under the covers and lay on my stomach or legs and let me pet him and fall asleep. He used to sleep by my feet and now it seems like he had to be touching me...

It did get really super cold.. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. He has been eating normal.. and playing normal... He and my girl cat Darla are indoor cats and do not go outside...

I don't know why he is so clingy all sudden? I mean don't get me wrong I do love it when my babies wanna snuggle... I am just a bit worried....

Some advice? :)

Hello! Sorry kitty is sick..  if it's any help, the only time my cat ever comes to sit on my lap, or come for a snuggle right against my tum (I lay on the floor because my fella is a sofa hogger) is when my cat is poorly.  The fact that he's eating and playing ok makes me think that he needs the love of mum and some reassurance coz he may feel blow par.. oh and the horrid vet visit may have upset him a little!  Warmth may too be a factor I guess. I'd just give him lots of cuddles and tlc, keep an eye on his cold and if you get too worried, perhaps take him back in. Am sure he'll get less clingy when he starts to feel better. Good luck to poorly Luke!

Thanks. That is what I was thinking. I just wasn't sure...

I know when I am not feeling good I just wanna sleep.

He just looks so exhausted, bless his heart. I really want him to feel better and get back to his regular self.

I will keep an eye on his cold. Tonight was his last day of meds... hopefully he will be feeling better soon.
