Hello guys, I am new to this forum. Stumbled upon it while googling questions about my cat's pregnancy!

I have had my cat, Celica, since she was 5 weeks old. She is now 1 1/2 and is about to have her first (and only) litter of kittens! I am unsure how far along she is. She has gotten incredibly big the past week.
Sometimes I think I feel babies move, but am unsure.

I have noticed crusty stuff around her nipples. Is this normal? Attached a picture of my girl and the crust. Thanks! :)

Hi!  If you barely can feel the kittens move, it is about two weeks left, perhaps somewhat more - it depends on how good you are with palpating and when you began to feel after them.

The crusts are probably entirely normal - many forumists do report crusts.  If you wish, you can surely have some good quality olive oil on the itties.  Cant harm, may help.

Keep reporting and asking!

If you can figure out when she possibly got pregnant, then count from there. With my cat I noticed a sore on the back of her neck around Thanksgiving. So I started with the Monday before and figured that she must have been pregnant on Dec 3 when I talked to the vet about the sore.  With adding 2 days on either side of the calculations I came up of a window from Jan 25th to Feb 5th, but was positive she would deliver in Jan.  She had the kittens on Feb 5th.  So even if you have an idea of when it happened, its is hard to tell exactly when they will deliver.  Her nipples will get considerably larger closer to delivery and she will start producing milk right before.  They will come when they are ready.

Ah, yes, from the tom holding her there during the mating!   Yes, Many toms holds so hard some sores arent unusual. Some toms even bites through. While other toms better at courting, are more gently just barely holding.

  Good tip useful sometimes!
