My cat is not eatting or drinking and is lethargic what do i do!!

I have been noticing in the last couple of days that my cat has not been eatting or drinking very much. and he is kinda lethargic. He has always been very playful and sweet. I can not afford to take him to the vet. Please help me.

Scour the internet for resources for help with vet bills. It sounds like your kitty is sick and really needs to go to the vet... Have you looked into CareCredit?

I know my cat is sick that is way I am asking what to do. I have healed a lot of my cats by myself at home before but I have never had any of my cats have this proplem before.And I can not afford to take him to the vet.

Oh boy, I'd take to vet and plead with them to help with your financial situation. Also, call and speak to an animal shelter or a vet tech at local vet. Prob needs blood work up if not ok within 48 hours.

Waiting sometimes makes it more costly in long run. It's painful to lose a pet. I still have guilt about not reacting to that exact set of signs.

My cats ended up with toxoplasmosis. I was too late in having them treated and still cry a year later.

Vets will do payment plans. Crying helps.

Dehydration is extremely bad as it shuts down the kidneys. Try to use syringe with water to keep hydrated if letting illness run it's course and give fav foods.

I told you what to do. Find resources that will help with vet bills. Look into CareCredit, it really helped me. Ask family, friends. Talk to your vet about payment plans. Do anything to get that cat to the vet! Just because you have "healed" your cats before in the past, doesn't mean that this situation is the same.

There really is nothing you can do at home other than making sure your cat is eating and drinking, if it's not you may need to get a syringe and force feed it.  Find a way to get your kitty to the vet, call friends and relatives, try calling shelters/humane societies, try care credit, your cat needs to see a vet ASAP

He has been eating and drinking ever since I put him by himself. Hope that's a good sign!!
