Hello, I need to get away for 5 days and like to know if ok for my 5 month old kitten to be feed once a day by a friend? I know the 1 1/2 year old will be fine, but with the little one not sure. He gets dry & wet food. Thank you

How many times a day does he get fed now? Generally for kittens, smaller more frequent meals are better.

pretty much 3 times, morning, afternoon, evening......during the day try food and evening wet......thinking now he will need to get feed at least twice...morning & evening.  somebody suggested once might be enough, but feeling tells me probably not. thanks for input!!

A kitten shouldn't be limited on their food. You might want to consider free feeding hard while you are gone, leave enough out to feed for days. The kitten would get enough and 5 days isn't long enough to harm your older one (or get him fat!) Then your friend could feed the wet and interact with them. They'll be fine! Good luck!

When I was away on a trip for 10 days, I purchased a timed feeder and had the cat sitter set the timer to open the lids 12 hours after their first meal. I only feed wet, so I purchased one with ice packs on the bottom, but there are different kinds available on market. Hope this helps.
