Because what it is we took in a female pure black kitten/cat back in October 2013 took her the vets and got her treated for fleas worms mites teeth claws ect and to be told that its too cold for them to come in heat (sorry if that term Is wrong) so we let her out and she went missing end of November and came back yesterday and from what I can see she's expecting and vets think she maybe 7weeks along :O shocking as its the same vet that told me it was too cold ect you can see them wriggling some times and now I'm feeling annoyed with the vets because now I've got to find homes for possibly 6 maybe more little lives which is going to be hard as where I live a few have been killed because of the amount of strays ect so I don't know what to do I don't mind keeping hold of them for long term just wondering what help is out there I've attached 4 pics of her please no bad comments as before she left she was booked in to be spayed and was all payed for in advanced thanks for reading an sorry it's so long xxx

Hi, bless you for adopting her.
My mom had a similar issue come up as a stray cat came to her house and before we could catch her, she started showing. My mom was fortunate that a woman from her church loved cats and adopted the mom and kittens.  This wonderful woman and her equally wonderful husband essentially tamed the feral mom (now a lap cat who adores the man).  But I realize it isn't usually so easy to find homes for kittens.  I would recommend trying your local animal rescues for advice.  Also, sometimes people will leave their names and numbers in the vet's office if they are looking for a kitten.  I wouldn't know exactly how to go about screening who would provide a good home, but checking with the vet's office is a start.  Good luck and welcome to TCS.

I too wish blessings on you for taking this poor little girl in. I hope you know now that cats will keep coming into heat until they get pregnant, no matter what time of the year. I had one that had her kittens in December and it is below 0 here! They all survived, but I don't know how. If you have a local radio station that has a 'swap shop' or a program that buys/sales things you can advertise the kittens for free. I agree that the vets is a good place to find homes for them too, I've found homes for two litters at our vets. As long as people keep dumping these poor creatures I'll find a way to help them. Good luck with your kitty, I hope you find good homes for all the little ones!
