Good morning friends!

We adopted our 3 kitties from the shelter here, and it looks like 2 of them have large extended families in the area. A woman down the street has a black and white tuxedo cat who looks exactly like our Lily - more like 2-1/2 Lilies - the guy is HUGE but the markings are exactly the same. I've seen a couple of cats at the vet through the years, too, who look like Lily's sister, or twin.

We've spotted another black-smoke maine coon like our Tophel, someone's obviously well cared-for cat who goes outside. Our vet told us the black smoke cats are pretty rare. But this one looks so much like our indoor-only Tophel that we had to locate Tophel inside to make sure he hadn't slipped out.

Are there other cats in your area who look similar or exactly like your cat(s)?

Mooch looks exactly like her mother; but I have no idea what happened to her.  We were interested in adopting a kitten because we wanted to get them used to bathing for DH's allergies sake (yeah; they haven't been bathed in years...lol).  M&N were the last 2 of their litter there. Their paperwork said they'd been born on the streets and picked up with their mother; about 45 minutes from where we live now.  I didn't connect them at the time; but I remember this black and white tuxedo cat in the kennel below and one over from M&N at the shelter.  She caught my eye because that's the spot my mom's Pumpkin was in.  And M&N were in the same kennel Mom's Bunny was.

Yes, actually. There aren't a lot of cat owners in my building that I know about (LOTS of dog owners), but the week I got Oliver, there was a posting on one of the community boards about a lost cat. A male brown tabby with a white chin and a black tipped tail. My kids saw it, came home and told me about it, then asked if Oliver could be her cat because the picture looked exactly like him.

The missing cat is an adult but they do look almost identical. I think they're both just very average looking tabbies. No real unique features. Although Oliver has a hairless scar on his knee, so there's that.

Mogli looks like nearly half the cats at the local (small-town) shelter, although his teeth and paws are bigger than most of theirs. It's possible that many of them are his brothers or half-brothers; most are very likely related to him in some way.

I don't see other cats in may area, except for Salem the black tom who lives across the road and vies for territory in my garden with a rather large ginger chap.  And neither of them are at all like my two..
