 I saw that on my newsfeed this morning! Are you going to check it out when it opens?

I will try to go once it opens,

but wondering how to easily get any cats there; they would require car transport and a box, and I am unsure about whether the young one Bella would dash out an open door should that present itself ....

I wonder about the logistics of a cat cafe, also. It will take a special kind of cat to be able to enjoy a strange, new place with other cats and new people. I think Pooper might enjoy it, after hiding for a bit and checking out the scene from undercover :D

I don't believe you're allowed to bring your own cats. Normally a cat café has a number of friendly resident cats that patrons can pet and play with.
According to this article
Not only will these cats be rescued from shelters or abusive situations, he's hoping seniors, children and Montrealers will reap the health benefits of snuggling with a cat by hanging out at his space.
This one has a little more detail:
As explained on their Facebook page, Café Chat L'Heureux will have eight to 10 resident cats for people to hang out with, while two to three will be from shelters for potential adoption

Oops, I only looked at the photos :) That makes sense, though, considering shots (or lack thereof), potential for fights, etc...I still think Pooper would be fascinated to visit such a place.
The opportunity for making adoption matches is fabulous!

I really love this idea.  If we had such a place here, I would definitely go there!  But I think they will be harassed and eventually shut down by The Health Department.

Didn't this idea start in Japan?  I think in Japan a lot of people don't have pets because of very small living spaces so they started this so people could get their kitty fix.

That's a great idea! but not sure it will fly with America's Health departments. In the meantime, Animal Planet has a kitty webcam at a shelter on its website. That's where I get my kitten fix!!
