Happy HumpDay Eve!

When did you swear for the first time?

I was around 3rd grade,  it was gym class and we were all outside at a basketball court. I noticed the "F" word scribbled on a pole, and not knowing any better at the time, I read it out loud with a gleeful expression. The whole class looked over at me with  shocked looks
I was like "What? What did I say..??"

I think I was in grade 7 or 8, at least that I can remember. I said the dog had a smelly
to my mom. She burst out laughing and thought it was hilarious that I said that.

I think I was 4 or 5.  I don't remember the swearing part.  Just the bar of soap part.  My Mom said I'd just come home from spending the weekend with my Dad.  My Dad swears; a lot.  Especially while driving.  I don't think I swore again till it was "cool" in high school.  And that phase passed pretty quickly.

I don't remember... I know in 4th grade I told my dog to "get in the damn door." I got grounded for a week for that. A week! For damn!

Anyway, I'm sure I cursed plenty before that. It was just the first time I got caught.

Same here. I was about 4 or 5 and I remember over hearing an adult say a swear word. I had no idea what it meant. But I thought it was funny to keep saying it over and over again. I got told off and had a lots of warning that I would have my mouth washed out with soap. But I still thought it was funny, so I kept saying it. I remember being dragged into the kitchen by my dad and he put the soap 1 inch from my lips and asked if I was going to say it again. I never did say it again for a long, long time. LOL :lol3:

I was about 7 years old:

I had misheard my dad one time - he said this show was amazingly cool, really nifty. I thought he said something that rhymes with that instead of nifty, and I thought the word was suppose to be a really nice and good thing. So when my neighbour was telling me a about his garden later that day, I replied with a "Wow! That sounds sooo *insert swear word*!" He left with a angry face and I didn't know why, so I tried calling out to him to reassure with a "honest! I think your garden is *insert swear word*!" thinking he didn't take what I thought was my compliment to heart. I later said the same thing to my aunt after she was talking to me about us going sailing, and she gasped and knocked over a vase, and I began recieving a talking to.

Eventually, it all got cleared up when everyone figured out what I was trying to say lmao (though I did feel bad for a tad!) now today it is a funny story amongst the family.

I think I was 16 or so.....late starter, I guess.
I was a kitchen slave in the hospital and a new patient had come in. My GF and I were sitting at the table and the head cook came over and told me to take a tray up to the room. I asked her what was on the tray, I wasn't being snotty, more out of curiosity than anything. She muttered something about "Go see it and then you'll know!" I said a 4-letter work under my breath. My GF was drinking a cup of coffee and literally snorted the coffee out of her nose. She cursed a blue streak, but up until that point, I had never said anything.....I may have thought it, but I never said it. And honestly, it just slipped out that time.

Now? I curse when I'm really upset about something and have been known to put sailors to shame (most often when I'm driving). And when I run out of adjectives and certain nouns, I make more up! Rick says that I'm one of the most inventive people he knows when it comes to cussing (again, usually when I'm driving).

My Dad lived to be over ninety. Growing up with sisters, we never heard him raise his voice or say a curse word. We were taken to church every time the door opened by our Grandmother who was helping our Dad raise us. It was just not a part of what we did.
