Hello guys,

My litte baby has been ill for some time, and progressively getting worse...

He has very inactive, didn't eat a lot anymore (he eats a lot normally!), was looking down and was very needy. Crying all the time. He started to throw up up to 3 times a day and his hair started to fall out ALOT, like ALOT! I would pet him and my hand would be full of hair. so I took him to the vet.

*Note: i took 1 week to take him because at first it just seemed he was needy and he missed me (i had been away for a year or so, because i live abroad and now im back to pick him and take to my home). And also because i thought he was throwing up because of the hair.

It started two weeks ago, and I took him to the vet 8 days ago. The vet only took a look at him, felt his belly, etc. and said he has an urinal infection. She put him on antibiotics and sent him home and gave him a shot.

He started to behave better and was a bit happier, she said he would have to take the pills for 10 days, and at first it was hard to give it to him. He missed 3 pills :( because it was holidays and I just couldnt get any help to give him a pill and he just wouldnt take it, i tried everything i knew of. I took him to the vet again and then she taught me how to handle him to force the pill down his throat. He started taking it very correctly for 7 days now.

But since yesterday he's been acting really weird, throws up everything he eats and cant keep anything down. He was also crying a lot and complaining like he was in pain. And would only stay around me or on my lap, like he was asking for help. He would also keep biting and chewing his paws all the time, really nervously, and kicking his legs back.

I took him to a 24 vets hospital and he had to be admitted for tests and observation. I'm just so worried and sad. I called the place and the doctor said he peed and it's VERY red, like bloody. Something i didnt notice before in his sand, because its very dark.

Im so worried about my baby, has anyone gone through a similar situation??? Please! Pray for my kitty... My heart is in pieces. He's everything to me.

What is his age?
What does he usually eat?
Last vaccinations?
Bowels normal?
Besides red, how much urination?

I am so sorry this is happening. There will be more responses from those wiser than I that will be along to help. You did the right thing by taking to vet. Sounds like an urinary infection but have never experienced it.

He is 4 and a half years old, and he eats special catfood i buy at the vet's place that is good for hair and healthy for the hair. But before he usually to eat whiskas, which the vet told me is not very good.

He has all the vaccinations and he is usually in good health because i travelled with him two times in the past 2 years. So he needs to stay very healthy and with tests up to date.

He seemed to be doing his bussiness just fine :( i heard him using his litterbox for the past week. There were a lot of feces as usual, it seemed to be normal. I couldnt tell the urine because it usually sticks to the bottom of the litterbox.

Thank you for your support

Yes that is what it sounds like, your kitty is still young and will be better soon. It's awful this had to happen to your kitty. It sounds like he is in good hands and very lucky to have so caring a momma!!
