When was the last time your hubby/boyfriend/wife/girlfriend surprised you?

Blaine sent me some flowers on Friday, just because :)

Tom is pretty good at small surprises - even if it's just bringing home one of my favorite chocolate bars (Lindt, Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt).

I guess the last time he got me flowers was at the 5th anniversary of the day he said he loved me, September 13th :)

Christmas, when he gave me a huge bag of my favourite chocolates. We weren't going to buy each other anything.

Hmm....  DH is more of a project do-er than a surprise buy-er I guess.  He's a morning person and I'm really really not.  Lots of times on a Saturday I'll wake up and find he's done dishes and cleaned the girl's fountain.  It's really appreciated!!

Sometimes he does. One thing that he does that really makes me love him is he buys fresh flowers for the dining room table every time they wilt down and I throw them out,
He did come home right after Christmas with a new tracfone card for me to renew my time and minutes on the phone I use. He is a very thoughtful man.

Rick took me out to lunch for my birthday. It was kind of a surprise. I decided I was going to take off work for my birthday and I was thinking about doing some shopping, so he had to tell me that he was going to take off his work early to take me to lunch. That way, I'd be home. We don't do flowers or anything like that.....the cats would have them for lunch. He has sent me flowers at the office.

He is not the kind of guy to say "I love you" all the time. But his actions tell me. He'll put gas in my car because he knows I hate to do it. He'll be in town on Saturday morning and come home with lunch, maybe it's just soup or chili, but he did it. He'll text me during the day with "ILY". Sometimes (like this morning) when we get up in the morning, he'll walk over and give me a hug. Just because.

We'll be married 43 years in April, so it works. And I'd be lost without him.

Tonight, he cooked dinner when I wasn't feeling well, and it was really sweet. :)
