So our nice peaceful morning has almost ended in disaster lilly ate a sewing needle I was using it had a big legth of thread on how I noticed she ate it now thankfully I got it out without and real damage to her! All the thread is out (I measured it before I threaded it onto the needle and the needle its self. I've been bit nine ways to sunday and I think lilly may have a few pin pricks in her mouth will she be okay? Never leaving my sewing stuff on the table she likes to nap on EVER AGAIN. Still shaking like mad any advice? I'm really worried she resents and is scared of me now because I got it out I know you will all tell me I should have sought out a vet but our vet is far away I dont drive and wouldnt have gotten her there quick enough

I'm glad you got the needle and thread out!
I'd keep an eye on her. If she does not eat or shows signs of being ill, take her to the vet. I am sure she'll be fine with those few pricks, but if you find they hinder her eating, check with a vet

Shes been eatting thoug very slowly with deliberate licks and is drinking so Im pleased with that she just keeps giving m the stink eys ause mama made her open up and My hand is covered in bites and my arms in scratches but I'm just glad she didnt completely swallow the needle i think she may hate me for a while but shes starting to come out of hiding for little bouts and then runs straight back under one of our many tables from now on I wont be keeping my needles lying about lesson learnt the hard way. I'm buying new sewing gear this week so I think I will invest in a pin cushion and box so they are kept out of reach.

, OMG! You must have just been beside yourself with panic
Thank goodness for the thread.

So glad to hear that she is okay. This is my advice : certainly keep an eye on her as Draco suggested, and go and make yourself a nice tea or coffee and relax in the knowledge that you got the needle out which is the most important thing! She may likely avoid the place where she naps usually, but I am sure she will come around and you will be good friends again. She may just be a little freaked out which is normal.

@oneandahalfcats I was shaking like a leaf and she was hissing and hacking so bad trying to get it out on her own Shes alternating between hiding under the stand of her 'sushi bar' our tropical fish tank and behind my coffee table where she lies while I craft. I just keep getting big old stink eye but I can deal with it knowing my girly is safe now. I rang my partner absolutely beside myself with worry after I got it out luckily he knows how to calm me down he basically told me to get a grip because worrying would only freak lilly out more especially if I keep trying to force my love on her. So I've let her come to me I put her second meal of the day out and made sure to add a little extra water to create a broth to make it easier on her.
