David Bowie's Cat What Breed Is It ?

I'm a big David Bowie fan and I've had these picture's in my Bowie collection for ages , I know Bowie likes cats he's even written a song about them Cat People ( Putting Out Fire) and a few of his other songs like Eight Line Poem , Ziggy Stardust and Future Legend mention cats too .

Not sure if he as a cat now but he's had them in the past , lots of people think those odd eyes make him look like a cat 


This last picture looks to be from the late 70's around the time of his Berlin period , the others are 80's judging by his hair

lt looks like an Abyssinian, except its ears look to be too small and the head not egg-shaped enough. lt has round eyes too, maybe it's half-Aby?

That's an interesting link not seen the picture of him with the black cat before that looks like it's from the early 70's his friend the late Marc Bolan T.rex had a black cat wonder if that's his cat in the picture with Bowie .

Bolan wrote a few songs about cats too Cat Black The Wizards Hat and a lovely song called Life's An Elevator .

I think it is an Abyssinian cat. The pictures are from the 1980's. So I think that is probably what abyssinian's more looked like back then than the breed standard of today
