Pewny had an enema at the vet last monday. This is the beginning of the 6th day and no new poops. She has been on a soft food diet since then and has been eating and drinking. She is 18 years ani d 1 month old. I ask because it is Sunday and the vet is closed? Thank you.

Poor Pewny! There are quite a few informative threads about constipation and possible aids. Six days seems too serious to wait any longer.
What are your thoughts, @oneandahalfcats  and @cprcheetah  ?

Have you spoken with the vet since you had Pewny in for the enema? Do they have an emergency number you could call? The fact that she's still eating and drinking is encouraging. Have you been adding lots of water to the canned food (like soup)? What about pumpkin? Have you tried that? There are also lots of threads on TCS discussing probiotics and slippery elm bark usage to manage constipation.

Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss! I imagine you are quite worried. I'm glad you've spoke with the vet. Mix the pumpkin with her favorite food and lots of water. Best wishes, and let us know how it goes tomorrow.

Yes, 6 days is a long time without a BM but depending on how much feces were removed with the enema, it can sometimes take awhile for some cats to accumulate enough to feel the urge to go again. A soft food diet will be higher in moisture and much lower in density than say dry food which is more bulk producing. The not eating for 3 days would reduce the amount that she has to process. If she is eating and drinking now then this is good. Adding the pumpkin as Susan suggested is a good plan which may help to create the bulk she needs but also provide additional moisture.

Hope this helps and that Pewny will go very soon.

Did the vet have you give anything else at home?  My cat DeeJay has Mega Colon.  She had to have an enema.  It took her a couple of days to get regular.  Were there any xrays taken of your kitty?  What did they say was the cause of the constipation?    We have her on Miralax (1/4 teaspoon twice a day).  Pumpkin sometimes has the opposite effect and can make them more constipated.  Here is an excellent site on constipation.  http://www.felineconstipation.org/acutetreatment.html

No the vet suggested that this was the first time and she did not want to introduce medicine at this point. But I am sure that will change tomorrow. I am sorry if I am incomplete but I only have a minute to check in now and then I am working.

Best case is you get home from work and Pewny has been successful
. Gentle lower belly massage sometimes helps, if Pewny will allow it.

What a pretty girl. She looks wonderful in that picture, very healthy looking and her coat is lovely. I guess that Pewny didn't have any nice surprises for you when you got home.
Hopefully, she will continue to eat the soupy canned food and drink lots of water, and tomorrow she will have success.
Was this the first time that she's had this kind of problem?

It's never happened before that is why the doc did not want to add medicine. She thought it was a fluke.
