It depends.  What was he eating before he had issues, and what is he eating now (exactly...brand and type of food).  How were his stool before, what happened to make them change, etc.?

Did the Vet give you anything other than the probiotic powder?  Was it FortiFlora?  What did they tell you to do other than slow down?  Did they make any other recommendations?

Wet food does not cause diarrhea simply because it is wet.  An ingredient in the wet could be causing it but that same ingredient in a dry food would also cause it.  An all wet diet high protein low carb diet is much better for kitties.  http://www.catinfo.org/  is a very good article on feline nutrition.  Since your kitty is still very young has he been checked for all possible parasites?  There are some parasites that don't show up on the float test that is generally done to find the most common parasites.  Also due to the life cycle of the common parasites they may not show up but still be there, it could take multiple tests to find them.

If there are no parasites then you could try a novel protein, one that kitty hasn't eaten before, to see if that helps.  You would need to feed the novel protein only for a period of time.

It's possible for young kitties to develop an intolerance for certain foods.  It's usually with dry food, not canned as canned is so much better for them.  Sometimes, though, they don't tolerate some kinds of canned food or some flavors.  Have you recently switched brands or flavors of canned food?  What exactly are you feeding and how much?

I have been feeding him I can a day of Royal Canine kitten food a day from day one the vet gave me fortaflora to put on his food I just wonder if it is better to put it on his dry or wet food is there a chance maybe the kitten food has become to rich for him and he might need adult wet food as well now since he is fixed and 6 months of age

OK, WHAT food was he on when you got him, WHAT food did you switch him to and how did you do the switch?  Also, did you tell the Vet that since you did what they told you to do that now his diarrhea is total liquid?  How long ago did you start him on the probiotic the Vet gave you?

Also, you said above you went back to the same dry food he was on when you got him.  WHEN did you do that?  Was this when the liquid diarrhea started?  We need more information, maybe a step be step from day one.

I adopted him on December 10th when I got him he was on Performatrin Ultra cat food and Royal Canine kitten food I decided I wanted to change him to Royal Canine Dry for kittens that are spayed or nuterd but a 2 days he developed blood in his stool so I stopped right away took him to the vets the check out his stool witch was fine no signs of parasites so she said to keep him on what he is on and add 1 pack of forta flora to his food daily but it was not till yesterday that he had liquid poop his manorisum is fine

He should still be fine on the RC, but you could mix it with an adult cat food.  He may also need to be tested again for worms.  Has the vet been any more helpful?  You might want to look for a second opinion.

BTW, you have two threads on the same topic, so I'm going to ask a mod to merge the two.

It's common for a fecal float (the testing of poop sample) to come up clean, the ocysts are only found during the shedding period, so it happens quite often.

The blood in it is a sign of intestinal/bowel upset. Common in parasitic/worm infestated cats as well.

It's ALOT more common for worms and/or parasites to cause the runs that it is for canned cat food or kitten food.

Ask the vet if he can treat the cat even though the test came up clean.
