I think my cat is dying, should I continue with her meds?

Thank you both, I think she's ready to go and if I'm honest I don't think she'll see through the night.

I'm going to stay with her and give her all the love I can.

I'm not ready to say goodbye to her though.

I understand.  I always say that about my Skittles--she was ready to go, but I wasn't ready to let her go.  My heart is breaking for you.
  This part is so hard.

Thank you all for your support.

She hasn't moved since she collapsed, I've been with her constantly as I know she needs me now.

I've known this day was coming for a while but it doesn't make it any easier.

I'm so sorry Andy. This is the hardest part of owning a pet. We are all thinking of you and your beautiful cat.

Hold her as close to you as you can.  Just letting her feel your warmth and love will help as she crosses the Bridge.

If you wish, try what I did:  When my Angel passed suddenly, I found her when she was still warm.  I held her close, and asked her:  "If you wish, please try to come back to me, but only if you want to."  This was a prayer to our Lord as well.

Seven weeks to the day Angel passed, another Tortie appeared on our front porch.  Almost identical to Angel, except the split orange/black' of the face was reversed.  It was like looking at a mirror image.  Angelina was with us for 10 years after that until a neighbor's pit-bull killed her, November 30, 2013.

This was providential in that we live in the woods far from towns and so very much coincidental to see a mirrored copy of our departed pet.  She had many of traits of Angel and seemed to know more than you would expect from a young cat.

I am still in mourning, but I have been gifted two little kittens that are adorable, and I love.  Whenever I see their little faces, I cannot help but smile.

I wish all the best for you and your baby in this very hard time.

(Hubby here):  Mrs. tells as it was.  It was mere chance that we came on these kittens, two males from same litter.  I'm not a fond cat lover, but I cannot say that I don't  have my favorite little clowns.  They get into everything, but now I too love them.

No it doesn't.  My Skittles lived 1-1/2 more years after I was told she had almost no time left.  I guess that extra year and a half made me think she was going to live forever and when the time came, it was that much harder.

You're both in my thoughts.

Thank you everybody.

This is the hardest thing I've ever had to write on the internet but my Suzie died at midnight (nearly two hours ago).

Thankfully I was with her at the time, I think she had a seizure or heart attack. It hurt me so much but I'm glad I was there for her final moments.

I'll never forget her, I first saw her when she was 8 weeks old and have had some amazing times with her.

She was a true friend and I'll miss my little girl so much

I am so sorry for your loss.  When you feel up to it you can write a tribute to her in the Rainbow Bridge forum.

On behalf of The Cat Site Team, we would like you to know that we are so very sorry for your loss. As a sign of respect, threads like this are closed when someone has suffered such a loss. We invite you to post a memorial thread at http://www.thecatsite.com/f/19/crossing-the-bridge as an everlasting testimony to your friend, Suzie. Again we are sorry.
