Saying Hello.

Name is Jeff. Im 43 atm and I have to cats, one adopted and one we found outside the house as a kitten a few years back. No pics atm, but will find some. My adopted cat, she is a black shorthair, about 14 years old now. Great lap cat, finicky eater. <- Her name is Piper.

Our other cat, Charlie, was a few months old when we found him. Cute little tabby, soft as a chinchilla. So he is about 2-3 years old and a total terror at times. He still sprays everything and pees everywhere. But when he calms down, he is good.

He is. And it is. I found a new spot last week. On a door to the basement. I thought I smelt something but never noticed until I was cleaning the stairs and notice..the bottom of the door was beginning to warp. :(

Welcome to the site. I have a cat that sprays occasionally ( probably more then I know!) but he has moved it mainly outside. I'll probably have this problem as long as I feed ferals that come around, but how do you stop? Good luck with your two, and bless you for taking in a troubled youngster!

Sorry I haven't posted pics. Been working a lot of hours.

I do have some sad news.  My Piper is in severe kidney failure. Has been for a while now and we have been treating it with fluid pushes and meds. Friday she took a bad turn. Hasn't eaten or drank anything since. Taking her in tonight but I do not see a good outcome.

And since we found out about her condition, we surrendered Charlie to a no kill shelter. He was just making Piper life miserable. And I wanted to give her a better quality of life in her final days.

Thank you. Unfortunately, my Piper passed away yesterday. She was laid to rest with Smokey, our very first cat that passed away in 2010 that we had cremated. He was 18ish. They will forever be together, never alone, resting next to our Lilac Bush.
