We have a cat with urinary tract problems due mainly to stress which we are dealing with.

BUT a vet told us to quit using dry Blue Buffalo Indoor health and go to  dry Before Grain Chicken.

I can't find any comparison of the two but they appear to be pretty similar.

Anybody have any thoughts or experience with both of these in a dry form?

Yes, we are also using a wet food in addition to the dry.

Thanks in advance

I am not a fan of any amount of dry for any cat with urinary tract issues because moisture is so important in keeping these kitties flushed out. http://www.catinfo.org/?link=urinarytracthealth Is there a reason that dry food must be in the diet?

Looking at the ingredient list and guaranteed analysis for both foods, they do seem pretty similar, but the BG is higher in protein and lower in carbs, so if I had to choose between these two, it would be that one.

we feed 3 cats in the house and two garage/house cats so those males (2) that have urinary problems are fed "wet" but it needs to be when we can prevent the others from eating everything and monitor the boys liquid intake

so the dry is a convenience when we can not directly oversee the "boys" feeding

ah, cats....at times you wonder who is master and who is pet

thanks for the reply and I agree
