A STRAY I PICKED UP TESTED FIV POSTIVE. I AM KEEPING HIM IN A LOFT ABOVE MY GARAGE. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT SUPPLEMENT IF ANY YOU CAN GIVE TO THEM TO KEEP THE IMMUNE SYSTEM UP. ALSO ANYTHING ELSE THAT WOULD HELP BOO AND I WITH THIS TERRIBLE DISEASE. SHARON AND BOO

I wish I could give you some insight. Most immune boosters for these types of situations are homeopathic. I wish I were more informed, and hopefully there's someone on this site that is.
If you can't find someone on this site, you can try to contact someone who specializes in natural medicine.

Not sure if Walthams is avaliable over there vut there is a special treat called Walthams Immune Support. Its pretty cheap and cats really like them and they are especially designed for cats with Fiv or other diseases which require an immune booster. Otherwise blue/green algae in the form of Spirulina or other form is also very good to boost immune systems in cats. Transfer Factor is also very beneficial as is Interferon but that needs to be prescribed by a vet.
A good quality diet and an indoor lifestyle with little stress for your baby can help to delay this horrible disease. i am so sorry, but you know many cats can live out a long and illness free life if they are cared for properley. Any signs of illness need to be cared for immediately by your vet and antibiotics given when appropriate. Does Boo just have the FIV virus or is he actually very ill ie "AIDS"?
Sending you lots of well wishes for Boo!

I just found out my snowwhite has FIV. She is actually doing okay with it. She stays to herself mostly (my vet said as long as she is not a biter the chances of her giving it to the others are small) I give her grapefruit seed extract in her water and just watch her closly. If she shows any signs of illness we take her to the vet ASAP. Good luck with the kitty.

My FIP-positive kitten is on (though is not responding to) the following homeopathic medications:

Moducare
Seacure
Transfer Factor
Interferon
Nosodes (30C and 200C)

We're also using a transdermal soy sterol (think natural steroid), as it, unlike manmade steroids, does not inhibite the immune system's ability to do its job. (Steroids tend to help prevent inflammatory response, yet they bind the hands of the immune system, which, in my mind, defeats the purpose.)

Best of luck.

My FIV ex-stray is on steroids and antibiotics as he has recurring ear infections. I am planning to start him on homeopathic remedies as soon as I have a couple of hours to reserach the matter thoroughly.

As long as a balanced diet is given and the cat is healthy I would personally hold off medication until needed.
