Good sign the vet though it was OK, lets hope it is so.

Safeguarding does costs, and must cost. Its like taking an insurance in a high risk situation.  Better be safe than sorry.   Especielly if the caretaker herself isnt experienced.

Advices from a forum are better than nothing, but...

To your questions here.  Brownish, or even reddish discharge, are common. But fresh living blood dropping not so. Especielly if more than just some single droplets on some single occasion.  During the delivery itself may come some droplets yes.

So, although the vet took it easy and isnt too worried, the risk situation is not entirely over!   You must continue to keep a  watch.  Have also everything prepared to rush her in.

Good luck!

Thank you. I have been watching her and yesterday she was not bleeding but did spot once or twice a little bit last night. She doesn't let anyone near her nest except me and will attack the other animals if they come near. however she is fine with one of my dogs even going inside the nest so I don't know..

The kittens were moving last night and she remained very vocal as she wanted me to continually rub her belly. I am actually lying down next to her nest rubbing her belly by her request Lol.

l have zero experience with cats having kittens, so bear with me
l would think that a pregnant kitty should have a private "nest" away from any area where dogs are coming and going. And to have a dog actually going inside her nest just seems counter-intuitive.

She must be due any time if she got out 8 weeks ago, l'll look forward to seeing squirmy-kitten pics

Hey Andrya
I know the thought of letting a dog around the nest sounds crazy but you'd be surprised how many dogs are very protective of the cat of the house.Although I m a cat person Ive heard and seen several momma cats with kittens that will indeed let some family dogs stay around for the whole show!.Sometimes the momma cat feels comforted with such dogs.Yeah I know,I didn't believe it till I seen it and Ive watched and assisted cats delivering for 45 years.dogs that are more likely accepted by momma cat are usually the lab types, retriever types.Certainly no terriers or pits! Im starting to really looking forward to simbaandkittys new family and really hope everything will go well[emoji]128576[/emoji][emoji]127868[/emoji]

So dont let the other animals near.   Perhaps her friend, this friendly dog may be allowed, but none else, as she is apparently irritated by them.

Separate them if at all possible from the others.

Moms peace of mind before everything else!

Good luck!

And I did , I have been keeping those that irritate her away. The one she likes is a mini pin and she enjoys cleaning him Lol.

Bad news guys. Kitty's first was stillborn and was stuck . I couldn't get her out so we took to her to an animal hospital where she is currently having a c-section and being spayed. The vet said she didn't hear any heartbeats but that doesn't mean there won't be one alive. I am just praying that Kitty is okay.

I will keep you all posted, she should be done in about 2 hours

Thank you Loopycann :). I'm glad I acted when I did but I should have acted the moment I know something was wrong.. those poor little kitties might have been carried to full term. I got her spayed so she won't have to go through this again. I would have done it sooner but my dog had had a seizure so I am still paying off his bill and didn't think she needed to be right away as she is an indoor cat.

The only thing that matters right now is that she is healthy and alive. Thank you all for your compassion I hope for good things for all of you and your pets.

I jsut spoke with the vet and she said the cause of the kittens death was an infection that Kitty some how obtained. It spread to the babies causing them to die. The vet said her insides were filled with pus but that she will be fine.
