Ok new problem. Severus has been my cat for over a year now. When he was little he had a bit of a spraying problem, which was rectified quickly. About 10 months later, he is now spraying again suddenly. Toby never has and didn't start when Toby started. I tried a new litter and thought maybe that was the problem, but I got the old one back and he is still doing it. Tonight when I got home, he looked at me, sprayed the stove and then immediately ran away, because he knew I was going to yell at him. He still uses the litter box to pee and poo and shows no sign of pain whatsoever.
My mother has been in the hospital but even with that being the case, I am spending the same amount of time with them that I always have. I usually work 10 hour days, and am out of the house for about 12, due to travel time. I still see them at about the same times every day, so they aren't feeling neglected. I have no idea what to do, but my house smells completely like urine, and I can not deal with this forever. I love my babies but in anger I HAVE contemplated re-homing him. I don't want to and when push comes to shove I know I won't, but I really can't deal with my house reeking of cat urine.
WHAT DO I DO??
