Hello, dear cat lovers!

I'm very excited to join this community and I should've done this long time ago!

Our cat's name is Mittens and she is almost 5 years old. She is our only pet and we love her to bits! 

We live in Australia but we got Mittens while living in South Africa, from a local SPCA. She was a couple of months old when 

we adopted her. As I write this, she is fast asleep in her favorite place - a shoe box. She has a lovely bed but she never uses it and loves 

sleeping in that shoe box- what can I do? :-) 

Anyway, I'm glad I came across this website and I'll talk to you soon! 

Cats usually prefer boxes over nice expensive comfy beds, it seems! Welcome!

When I buy something new for the kitties, I usually spray some catnip on it to get them to check it out.  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.  Kitties do like their cardboard boxes.

My two sleep on the most expensive bed in my flat...mine but can I get them to sleep in their own...no such luck
