Despite all the snow yesterday (Tuesday) throughout the morning and afternoon, we ended up with very little. In town, there might have been one inch or so. At home, on our hill, we got 2-3 inches of snow, just enough for it to be a total nuisance. But that was it. We have the howling winds and the bitter cold again. Right now, we're at 1 degree F with a wind chill of -9. And with all this cold, our roads are going to stay in washboard condition for quite a while. This cold spell is going to last into next week, before we finally start creeping up into the 20s.

This is probably some of the coldest weather I've ever walked in and I've been walking now for almost 10 years. Rick went out to start his truck this morning; he came back in the house and said I probably shouldn't walk today, so we'll see. It's really nasty out there again.

I know that other areas did not fare as well as we did snow-wise. How much snow did you get? Are you down in the freezer again?

(And sorry, but I don't want to know how warm it is down south. I just don't want to know.)

We didn't get much snow.  Right now it is 0 F with a wind chill of -9.   I think the big snow is in the northeast.  I don't really mind snow it's the frigid cold that I hate.

It's still kind of dark, but there is definitely more than 2-3 inches out there. :lol3: It's 11 degrees right now. I believe it is supposed to get colder once it is done snowing. Yep, still snowing.

Actually I live in the south and there is snow on the ground. I guess you could call it a dusting. But I am near the coast . The weather report at eleven was talking about snow all around. Schools are starting late today. We are supposed to stay at the freezing temperate of 32 today. Warmer than some of you, but cold enough to be cold.:lol3:
We had howling winds which make it seem colder too. A neighbor here gets up and walks usually before daylight every morning. He probably will delay his walk until later in the morning.

I am near Philly and they are saying a 11-13 inches came down.  Husband left to late to make it home and had to leave car and get ride back to parents.  It was taking 3 times as long to drive.  My dogs won;t even try to find grass they are just going in driveway.  Momma cat walked out and darted right back in, Willy is meowing cause I am mean and won;t let him out of cage(he gets caged on rare times he comes in)  If I let him out I know he would go.  Not far as it would be to high but he would happily sleep in snow.

We got plowed 3 times last night!  usually get it once at very end.

Here in North/Central NJ, we got about a foot or so.

Tried getting to work this morning but between all the train delays/crowding I got disgusted and went home to work (luckily, I can get into our server from here).

Not thrilled, but it could be worse.

An old TCS buddy of mine on Facebook posted pictures near Philly and she had at least a foot from the looks of the cars and things around her house.  I saw a news article tonight about a mother up in Philly who delivered her baby on a SLED trying to get to the hospital in that storm yesterday!!

I'm not sure how much we got here.  It's been too windy to tell.  I've got high drifts and I've got bare spots in the yard.  It too cold too.  I know I've lived through colder; I'm just done with winter.  I'm not leaving the house for a while I think.

We've been having snow showers and squalls, but nothing much is really laying. But man, it's really cold. And judging from our local weatherweenies' forecasts, we can expect more of the same next week.....we're not getting out of the freezer at all.

My niece left for Alaska yesterday....she said she was going someplace warm!

I've lived through colder temps, too. But I'm just tired of it all now.

Yep I get you.  I went out on my back steps long enough to refill the bird feeder and shovel just the top off.  DH is still taking my car to work; with the car seats in it.  We aren't leaving even if I wanted to.  I'm a "home body" so most of the time it doesn't bother me.  Sometimes it's just the "can't" part of it!   It makes me wish we had a basement where we could have a nice family room and a better space for some of our exercise stuff.  We have a treadmill and DH's Total Gym out in the garage while my bike is in the foyer.  I don't need any excuses to help me not get moving.

I'm pretty far south and while I don't have snow, I'm telling you this is cold. The cold got one of my plants for sure, and another may not make it either.

Cleveland is back to its old days of butt biting sub zero wind chill, & spoz to be below 0° at night like half of next week, & darn close to it the rest of the time. Got spoiled from all those "easy" winters in a row.....now this is REALLY what Cleveland winters are supposed to be! :(

We had about 9-10", and it's COLD!  The roads, 3 days later, are still rather bad, including in our development. I have to drive down a long hill, and actually became nauseous by the time I got to work. That's never happened before (from driving)!

We've had 4 or 5 snow falls, and each one of them was a blizzard!  Having one right now actually!  I can hardly see outside my window.

If we aren't getting -50 degree temperatures, we've been getting blizzards. It's always one or the other. We haven't had a single ice day where it was mild without snow or strong cold winds.  It's the winter from you know where!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're not going to escape this snow.  We got a little last night, I thought we were going to miss the big snow again but it's coming down now.  It's supposed to continue all day.  Then the bitter cold comes back worse than before.  It's supposed to be -15 F Monday night and -12 Tuesday night.  I am already so sick of winter.  I liked the winter that wasn't two years ago.

Had ice storm, had snow, had melt turned to ice, polar vortex twice. Snowing like crazy now, wind chill and white-out conditions. We've an entire winter's worth of weather condensed into 6 weeks. So tired of winter. Desperately waiting for April.

We sure got a snow storm last night. In some spots, the snow drifts were 4-5 feet tall. We had a plow come and clean our driveway.

My daughter checking out the snow outside the front door. We have a covered porch so not much came up.

The side of my house. The tallest part there, the snow was around 4 feet.

My husband and daughter in the driveway. The plow cleared the driveway going the other way so it doesn't look like as much snow as it is. It is as tall as my 16 month old.
