I know this looks like a similar named thread, but this is a little different.

We dog-sit on occasion for the God-daughter's dog--a Yorkshire terrier/pug mix.  He is the miniature of both halves and only weighs at most 8 pounds.  But he can be a bully, so we have been carefully monitoring any interaction.

We are trying to carefully introduce the two kittens.  Right now, we have Yorkie panting his heart out--after yapping his head off  (which we told him to be quiet)--on the bed looking at Shadow, and Shadow is laying about a foot away with his eyes closed, ignoring everything.....

Will keep you posted.

We are also in the bed watching....

So far, we have the two kittens stretched out and asleep toward the foot of the bed.  Yorkie is curled up in my husband's arms, snoring.

So I will sign off for tonight...  Good night to all!

About sixteen years ago when gentle and lotto were about 4 I got a puppy who had been abandoned. He was a 1-1/2 month old mongrel. After he'd been here about s week with lotto outside his door I bathed him and let him go. He had no idea what s cat was. He ran to lotto who greeted him with a nose rub then went to gentle and was greeted with s full face on spit. Very ladylike. They did not get on. Lotto and candy became lifelong friends. As candy got older he knew his job downstairs was to chase cats but upstairs was his best friend. He died undergoing an operation trying to remove a lump. We nearly lost lotto from grieving.

Eating with permission.
