Madison, a very sweet kitty, needs a holistic vet to help him with his cancer

My sister's 12.5 yr old boy, an amazingly sweet kitty named Madison, had a tumor removed last week.  Madison was diagnosed with melacarsi noma and hepititis, with inflamation of his liver. My sister would like to find a holistic vet who practices with herbs and mushroom therapy.  They live in Glen Cove, NY.  I welcome your suggestions.  Thank you.

I am so sorry.  He is a handsome boy, I have a soft spot for black kitties.   http://www.inyourarea.net/local2/17445/?gclid=CKjovf_SjbwCFedAMgodXlcALQ  is a database of holistic vets.  I don't think there is any criteria for a vet to say they are holistic but it may give you a starting point.  Denamarin is a very good supplement for the liver that contains milk thistle and sam-E.  As far as I know it's one of those things that can only help but she will need to clear it with the vet.  If her vet doesn't have it  it can be ordered from Amazon.  It has to be swallowed whole because it has a safety coating on it to protect it through the stomach and break down in the intestines.
